Hi Guys, I have a problem where the Proparts SPEK 11,000 rpm tach, it does not want to go over 8800 rpm, when I set the max rpm in the progauge software,
Do I need to wire the White(dimmer) to the 12V ?
I haven't connected the the white wire (dimmer) only the green to rpm - red to 12V and Black to ground
I've been hearing about changing to 8 cylinder how do I do that please :)

If i'm not wrong the revburner works the same way that progauge.
4 cylinders engine rev counters up to 17.000 RPM
6 cylinders engine rev counters up to 12.000 RPM
and 8 cylinders engine rev counters up to 8.000 RPM
But i remember read somewhere the proparts spek gauge have some issues to work. (but i can't be precise with that information)

Hi.
you should check the documentation that comes with your rev counter and see if you can set the number of cylinders of the engine.
usually the choise is between 4, 6 or 8 cylinders.
Choose 4 or 6. if number of cylinders is set to 8, you don't get more than 8.000 RPM

YOu need to supply 12V to the White wire, that is the only way to program the PPM mode which you need to set the Needle to 1000 in the spek Tach. If you have the Directions to the Tach then it will tell you how to do this. If not I can send you the directions.

The Spek tachs work perfectly with Symprojects products.

Yup yup. thank you everyone. Yes I wired the white (dimmer) to the 12V and hold the middle and top button for 5 second and then PRess the centre button once to get into the PPR setting. and I changed it to 1000 and works perfectly.
thank you so much. guys. sorry for the late reply. spent 4 hours and didn't realize I have to press the centre button after the 5 second hold. the manual didn't state or I missed it some how. lol
