Just got hold of a copy of Nascar 2003, patched it to 1.201, but no sign of it being recognised by simdash/prorace display. I make sure to start simdash before starting NR2003, but still nothing. Has anyone else had experience of getting this one working please?

And the x-sim?
Run first SimDash => X-sim converter (you need to config the x-converter to lcd export) => X-sim extractor (v 3.0.1.7) and for the last, run the game in the x-extractor.
Hope this can help you.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't use x-sim motion software, so I do not think I can use this information. I usually use simdash simply to control my pro race steering dash display and buttons. NR2003 is supposed to be compatible but I see nothing on my display. Thanks for trying to help, it's appreciated :)

Hello.
When you start NR2003, does SimDash display "NR2003 is running"?
or does it keep displaying "No simulator detected"?
because if it doesn't detect that the game is running, the problem probably is that the game executable has a name different than what is expected.
In that case you would have to rename the file to the correct name.

Cristiano

It says 'no simulator running'. Can you tell me what the exe should be? It is currently NR2003.exe
-
Sounds like your doing all the right things for it to work, I have NR2003 stacked full of add-on Mods and tracks, and it works just great with SimDash...Your not using the NOCD.exe buy any chance!...Also what path is your NR2003.exe?
-
Ah thanks Swifty, yes I was using the nocd exe. As soon as I put the disc back in and use the original file, it works fine. That's a shame, I don't like leaving the disc in the drive, but looks like I will have to use this one.
Thanks Cristiano also, sorry for the false alarm :)

Glad that's working now :) Yes, a shame on the NOCD bit, but to be honest, I've not used it ever, and the CD has seen 4 PC builds and has sat in the drive tray over a good few years, and only has very minor scratches, and has not failed once. :)

Well, I think this is the most expensive 10yr old pc game I have bought, £33 off ebay. I missed it when it was released, and kept reading so much good about it so I finally found one for sale. And I must say it is brilliant so far :)

Check yeah MP's mate ;)

Thanks Swifty, downloaded 2013 mod and many other bits :)

It might work if you change the name of whatever no cd executable to nr2003.exe

For what it is worth, I'm running the no CD patch and with the executable name set to NR2003.exe it works.
