Title: Commodore VY Cluster Wiring to RevBurner
Post by: pudgey01 on September 16, 2013, 11:05:03 am
Hi guys,

Need some help! ... I'm trying to wire up the RevBurner to this Commodore VY instrument cluster... I checked out the thread below, someone has a VT Cluster working but unfortunately the pinout for my VY cluster is different, mine has 32 pins. I think I found the Posative (pin 1) & the ground (pin 17).. I can get the odometer to show up when I have the positive connected to positive Pin(1) & negative connected to Pin(17) what I think is the ground. I used the signal cable from the revburner to test the rest of the pins and I have found the following.

Pin (1) Posative
Pin (4) Dash lights
Pin (8) Doors open
Pin (11) Right indicator
Pin (12) Beams
Pin (15) Left indicator
Pin (17) Gnd
Pin (20) Service Mode
Pin (31) Lock light

The connector has 1 to 32 pins.

But for some reason I cannot get the Tacho + Speedo to move, I know im missing something here... Does anyone have any suggestions they can offer or know what im doing wrong?

See photos.

I have sent you a PM, doesn't look promising as they get most of there info by serial link.

Data for speed and tach is delivered via canbus

Yeah RT1971 explained it to me, I was afraid of that. Should have done more research first... Guess I'll try putting it on Ebay and finding something else.. Thanks for the replies.
