Title: How much load can I put on the JC 32?
Post by: bredita on October 18, 2013, 08:57:46 pm
I'm currently playing with a few fans. Since the JC-32 was the easiest way to get +5v on my rig I connected a couple of (0.24A) fans to it. The fans are still running but it's probably not a good idea to draw too much power from this +5v output. So I decided to ask:

how much load can I put on it?

Thanks,

Bredo

Hi.
the maximum current that the USB port can source is 500mA.

the chips on the JC32 don't require much, so probably it will be ok if you connect 2 fans that consume 240mA each.
