Title: x-sim and SimScreen

Hi guys!

I need to run my SimScreen using X-Sim. Do I need a pluging to do so?
As far as I see there's only a plugin for GI MAX, GI Pro, SPI-D and the Rev Burner.

Hello.
X-Sim and SimDash use different technologies. I have ported most of the plugins to X-Sim but the SimScreen is a major task and I doubt I will ever do it, sorry.

But depending on the simulator you want to use, you might be able to use x-sim and SimDash at the same time. There are few files to move around but I will be happu to explain you.

I actually use SIMXPERIENCE to run my games but the thing is that it comes attached with X-SIM. So, I guess I can try to run SimDash and X-Sim at the same time and see how it works.

Ok.

Open the folder where you have installed SimDash. Probably:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SymProjects\SimDash.1.3.2

Move to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SymProjects\SimDash.1.3.2\Plugins\Data\Output

Here you find some folders, one for every Symprojects' product.
Delete the folder of the product you will be using with X-Sim.

For example, if you use the Rev Burner plugin for X-Sim, delete the "RevBurner" folder in SimDash.

This won't work with every game. If you tell me what games you play I'll tell you which one will work.

Ok, I just deleted the SimScreen folder from SymProjects. And then? How do I get it to work?

My case is that I need to run RevBurner, SPI-D, GI-PRO and SimScreen with X-sim because I have motion running with SimXperience and what we do is set up everything with X-sim so SimXperience reads it in the same game.
The only thing I'm missing is the SimScreen. Will this be possible somehow?

And another little issue I have is with the GI-Pro. I downloaded the pluging for X-SIM, copied it in te interfase plugings and run X-Sim with SimXperience but when I run my game the gear doesn't even change in the GI-Pro, it stays in : N.
What can I do to fix this?

Hi.
Sorry you had to keep the SimScreen folder in SimDash and delete the folders for the rev burner, gi-pro and spi-d.

To restore the SimScreen folder in SimDash, now you have to disintall it in install it again.

Regard GI-Pro with x-sim, my suggestion is to check carefully the instructions on the website. it should work straight. When you adjust the Gi Pro brightness in x-sim, does the display do anything?

rFactor and GTR will work fine with x-sim and SimDash together.

I deleted the folders, restored SimScreen. Run X-Sim and Rfactor and it works. Thanks.

To be more specific is: I'll be using GTR EVOLUTION. Is Sim-Screen fine with GTR Evolution?

Will I be able to do the same thing with SPI-D, Rev Burner and Gi-Pro?

With the GI-PRO. Yes, I can see it in the game but when I introduce the offset for the gear in the Math Setup like: "-1" it doesn't display the full "N", just 2 lines.
I changed the offset to "0" but when I run the game it only displays the "N" for the full game. It doesn't change the gear.
I did it with "1" but the same thing. Run the game and stays in gear 1 for the whole game. It doesn't change it.

NEVERMIND, I fixed my mistake. lol

My only question is:  Does GTR EVOLUTION work fine with Sim-Screen?

Yes, it will work fine.

This page:

shows what data is available for every simulator.

Now, I want to use the Rev Burner with a speedometer but using X-SIM. Do I need a plugin for that? Or try the same thing that I did with the SimScreen?

The x-sim plugin to use the rev burner with speedometer will be available next month or in August.
Meanwhile you can use SimDash to drive it.
