Title: Thank you (DLC247, Pro Gauge, JC-32)
Post by: bredita on November 24, 2013, 01:31:48 am
Thanks again for making these simracing gadgets - they are great.

Have connected a tachometer (cheap, it's very slow, can't be opened so there's nothing to adjust)
and oil/water temp gauges (also cheap, and I haven't managed to configure them so that they show the correct values throughout the range.)

A couple of questions about the pro gauge/tachometers:
My tachometer has 3 settings (4,6 and 8 cylinders, iirc). Does this setting matter to the Pro Gauge board? I tried them all briefly but didn't notice much difference.

And about the DLC247: great board, have used it to make a 40 LED rev indicator and a little box with flag indicators. Waiting for some cheap 7-seg displays from ebay :) Love this board :)

I've also replaced all my old button boxes with home made purpose built boxes. Loads of rotary encoders and buttons.  2 JC32 boards are almost "full" :) This brings me down to 4 game controllers, and enables me to play just about any game without disconnecting usb devices (many games only see 4 controllers or so).

I'd attach pictures if you accepted larger attachments ;)

Hello.
Regarding the tachometer, use the 4-cylinders settings.

for the pictures, can you use a hosting service like http://tinypic.com/ to upload the pictures?

regards
