Title: Rev Burner
Post by: Geppetto on July 23, 2011, 08:09:51 am
Hello to all!

I have some questions:
With Rev Burner you will able to connect a REAL rev counter and speedometer to your PC, through the USB port.

1) I must buy two Rev Burner for one real rev counter and real speedometer?
2) rfactor 2 will be supported?
3) real rev counter and real speedometer must have some special characteristics? Or are well all?
4) I can connect with Rev Burner other real tool? ( like as fuel, temp ecc ecc)

Thanks!  ;)

Hi.

All your answers on on this page: http://www.symprojects.com/shop/rev-burner/

1) Yes you need 2. One for the rev counter(tach) and one for the speedometer. For the RB to work with a speedometer you have to update the firmware.

2)Yes rFactor is supported. http://www.symprojects.com/supported-games/

3) http://www.symprojects.com/shop/rev-burner/

Says:

"Any rev counter is compatible with this board:

4 cylinders engine rev counters up to 17.000 RPM
6 cylinders engine rev counters up to 12.000 RPM
and 8 cylinders engine rev counters up to 8.000 RPM

Rev counters for diesel engines won’t work."

From my personal experience, I bought a cheap rev counter and could never get it to work correctly. So I advise you to read through the fourms and see what others have used that have been tested to work properly.

4) No only for Rev Counter & Speedometer. Hopefully we get fuel, temp etc in the future!

Hope this was helpful.
