Hello.
You are not supposed to configure the gauges every day, so there must be a problem somewhere.

When you open the Pro-Gauge configuration screen in Simdash the day after, can you see the configuration you set the day before? or is it back to the default values?

regards
Cristiano

Hi, yes it goes back to default mode as if you was starting from the beginning with the set up with the dials, if you can advise that would be helpful in this matter, thanks steve o

ok.
when you open the Pro-Gauge configuration screen in SimDash, on the top-left corner there is a 3 digits number. it is the serial number of the controller. it is used when saving the settings. can you see the number? or is it a sequence of random characters instead?

Hello.
I believe the problem is with the serial  number of the Pro-Gauge. if is displayed on the top left corner of the configuration screen and if should be a 3 digit number.
in your case it is invalid and it must be reset.

to do it, follow these instructions:

Edit SimDash.exe.config which is in the SimDash' installation folder and change these lines:

        <setting name="ShowTestControls" serializeAs="String">
          <value>False</value>
        </setting>

to:

        <setting name="ShowTestControls" serializeAs="String">
          <value>True</value>
        </setting>

Start SimDash.
In the Pro-Gauge configuration screen  (RPM section) there is a button that says "Set Serial Number"
Click it and confirm
Unplug and plug the board in again
Now a new serial number is set in the Pro-Gauge and you should be able to save the configuration.

Hello.
If you make the changes that I suggested, when you start SimDash and open the Pro-Gauge configuration screen, the RPM section should look like this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysx54f0pfcqukwm/pg.png?dl=0

Notice the serial number displayed on the top left corner: 251

and the big button at the botton that will allow you to set a new serial number if you need to.

Let me know if you have questions.

Hello.
I think the Pro-Gauge page on the website contains all the information you need to configure the gauges. it is a one-off operation.
But if something is not clear, please let me know.
