Hi all i am wanting to use my GI Max but when i load sim dash (ver. 1.3.3) it asks for a firmware update. I have looked on the site but cant see the update for the firmware. Can anyone post the link please?
Many thanks :)

Hi.
This ZIP file:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3544050/GIMax.rar
contains the latest firmware for the GI Max.
Were you using a very old version of SimDash?
Because the last firmware update was like a year ago.

Christiano, i have downloaded Simdash ver. 1.3.3 and downloaded the firmware in the zip file link you linked and it still says on startup firmware update :(
I have even deleted simdash off my pc completely and redownloaded simdash and the link but still no good :(
Am I the only person having a problem like this?
-
Hello.
Yes, it's the first time I hear of a problem like yours, so we need to do some investigation.
first of all, have you tried to connect the GI Max to a different computer? do you get the same result?
thanks

Hi Cristiano, I have just tried to use my GI Max again. I have downloaded Simdash 1.3.5 and when I plug the usb in, and load simdash it brings up an orange light next to the GI Max. I really dont know why it isnt working as I did have it working before I had the problem last year when I originally posted this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Orange light means the firmware is the wrong version.
I will send you the latest version, just in case.
Is the pcb of your display RED or GREEN?

I followed the instructions on the site and it now recognizes the GI Max. But, it doesnt light the gear up in the simdash menu, or when I load any games up :( At least we have got a little bit further though :)

I have the same worries from time to time. In fact, it is green and turns orange and starts instead of "Connected" "firmware update".
in fact, it's a bad contact of the USB port. The pin is either poorly soldered, or the USB cable is malfunctioning
I hope my English is understandable, "google translation ..."

Hello.
I suggest to try a different USB cable but if the problem is with the connector solder on the pcb, you can send me an email (contact@symprojects.com) and we sort this out.
Thanks
