Title: GI MAX V.2 plugin
Post by: 6R4NICKY on August 20, 2011, 12:05:57 pm: Hi all i am wanting to use my GI Max but when i load sim dash (ver. 1.3.3) it asks for a firmware update. I have looked on the site but cant see the update for the firmware. Can anyone post the link please?

contains the latest firmware for the GI Max.

Were you using a very old version of SimDash?
Because the last firmware update was like a year ago.

I have even deleted simdash off my pc completely and redownloaded simdash and the link but still no good :(

Am I the only person having a problem like this?

Yes, it's the first time I hear of a problem like yours, so we need to do some investigation.

first of all, have you tried to connect the GI Max to a different computer? do you get the same result?

there are two version available. it depends on what version of GI Max you have.

Does it have a red or green PCB?

I really dont know why it isnt working as I did have it working before I had the problem last year when I originally posted this.

Orange light means the firmware is the wrong version.
I will send you the latest version, just in case.
Is the pcb of your display RED or GREEN?

Hello.
I suggest to try a different USB cable but if the problem is with the connector solder on the pcb, you can send me an email (contact@symprojects.com) and we sort this out.
