Hello.
The SimScreen is ok the problem is SimDash which is crashing.

Can you tell me what version of SimDash you are using, where the message is shown (a message box?), when it happens (as soon as you start SimDash or when you connect the SimScreen or when the game starts)...

The more I know the quicker I will track down the bug.

thanks
Cristiano

Hi Cristiano,

Hello.
Based on the information I have the crash has nothing to do with the SimScreen.
The problem appears to be the dialog which shows the data from the game (to display it, chose Data from the View menu).

I am not 100% what the problem is but I tried to fix it.
You can download this version of SimDash (based on SimDash 1.3.3):

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3544050/forum/SimDashTest.zip

and let me know if the crash still occurs.

Regard the SimScreen, you get different start screens when the display is connected based on whether SimDash is running or not.

Regards
Cristiano

HEY GUYS!

I had the same issue with my SimScreen. I tried to load the profile for the screen and SimDash just stopped working and I thought it was because of the firmware. So, I might made a mistake trying to bootLoad the rev burner firmware because after that the only thing I get is a blank screen and on SimDash it says; "No devices connected or firmware must be updated".

What can I do now?

THANKS,

Daniela.

Hello.
If you upgraded the simscreen with the rev burner firmware, it is not going to work.

I will send you the correct firmware. can you send a picture of the back of the simscreen please? because there are two version around which use different firmwares.

thank you
Cristiano

I had a little issue with my phone and couldn't get the photo but the SS I have is the same as the one below. It has this number in the back 128641 REV.B. Hope that works.

Hi.
This is the link for the download of the firmware:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3544050/firmware.zip

the zip file contains the firmware (.hex) and the application you need to perform the upgrade (.exe file).

the website contains the instructions on the process but you can also ask here.

Cheers

Can you post the design so I can reproduce the error please?

Have you tried the beta of the new version of SimDash?

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3544050/SimDash.1.3.4.Beta3.zip

it would be interesting to see if the error still occurs.

thanks

Hello.
I have tried the design and on my computer it is working fine.

Are the other designs you have made working correctly?

I have created the attached text.lcd file. it is similar to yours, it displays the gear position.
would you test it please?

Thanks
Cristiano
