Title: Revburner to revcounter query
Post by: ramall79 on October 14, 2011, 10:41:29 pm
Guys, i am trying to connect the speedometer and rev counter of a Toyota GT4 (ST205). Now the speedometer is ok i managed to get it work. But when I come to the wiring of the tachometer its like has a negative effect. It's like it is trying to move downwards when i give it power not up the revs. Can someone maybe help me on this.

PS I dismantle the cluster and separate the rev counter from the speedometer.

Also can be the case that the rev counter of the ST205 is opposite (- or + signal)...i am not that much into electronics but i can manage some things.

thx

Ramon

if it moves the opposite direction personally I would try to invert + and -. nothing extremely bad should happen but I can't guarantee.
have you dismantled the dashboard because you want to put the speedo and tachometer into something else?
if so if you can't find a solution you could buy the cheapest rev counter you find on Ebay and dismantle that too...
