Title: Support posts for Pro Gauge and others
Post by: ItsDaPlumber on February 01, 2014, 05:21:56 pm
I just ordered PCB stand off posts for my build. I ordered M2 posts rather then the M3. I think M3 is for MB's and the holes on the pro gauge and others that you have are smaller holes. Am i right on this?

Thanks Darren.

According to my calipers, the RevBurner V2 has 3.25mm mounting holes, if the Pro Gauge has the same diameter holes, M3 wouldn't fit according to this chart (http://www.trfastenings.com/pages/Tapping+Sizes+and+Clearance+Holes) as it requires 3.4mm clearance. M2 only needs 2.4mm so should fit fine.

If by MB's you mean motherboards, those standoffs are 3.4mm diameter(so presumably M3) and don't fit my RevBurner.
