Title: Rev burner don't work with NFS Shift

I'm from Holland, and like your products.

I use the Rev Burner on my rig, mostly GTR Evo and RFactor, but now installed NFS Shift again. With the complete overhaul 2 package. This really gives the game a second life.

With the latest simdash, rev burner should work on Shift. But not for me. I have Shift 1.0.2 installed, en tried that simulator setting in the Simdash. Also tried the other setting, but still no revs. Also tried the clean Shift install, without the overhaul package which I have in a separate folder.

Simdash recognizes that Shift is running, but I got no response on my rev counter.

Does someone know the trick?

the rpm data is not read correctly from NfS.
the GI Max/Pro and SPI-D displays work fine but the rev burner doesn't show anything.

This problem has been fixed in the next release of SimDash, which will be available soon.

Post by: chris p duck on April 24, 2011, 03:32:18 pm: I'm the same I'm afraid (with same version, DVD install, with pach 1.02, no mods for me though) to be honest I think it's a problem with my install rather than your board as my Sli-m doesn't work with this game either (which it should) but works with all others.

But with the 1.02 patch everything seems right.

Do you experience the problem with the rev burner when you start q Quick Race or when in Career mode?

Does the NfS plugin work for anybody else or only for me.

I know it's arcadey and not a sim but if mates come over and want a blast on my rig it's what I stick on as you can jump in having never played a racing game before and get the hang of it in 15 mins.

Be nice to have the dash working with this title simply for showing off purposes.

That's odd because my RevBurner that I use to drive a speedometer works fine in Shift. It's only the tacho revburner that doesn't work.
GI Pro and the SPI-D function as it should.

I used the "other language" patch.

I'm using the "other language patch" might try a new install and try the North America patch if I have some time later to see if there's any difference.

I deleted my pukka paid for retail boxed version and installed one that I errr, "found" online. (I don't condone this but feel no guilt myself as I have the paid for version in my possession).

I'm now the same a Kikie, my GI-Max and speedo rev burner work fine, nothing from the tachometer rev burner though.

Weirdly if I install patch 1.02 and set simdash to patch 1.02 then nothing works ?!?

However if I tell simdash it's not patched the GI-max and speedo work again.

I'm not sure if it'll help but if I set the GI-max to blink when the RPM is under 1000 it always blinks (infact I set it to blink if the rpm is under 5 and it always blinks)

Not sure what other combos, options I can try but again if I can help please let me know :-)

Still building here, only tested RPM, but will try speed tonight, don't have gear indicator. Should make another order with all the new goodies from you.

Did you ever find out what the probelm with the rpm data on shift 1 was? I see you said you may not be able to solve it but is there any way to work round it? (as it works for some but not all)

I have the Digital Downloaded version with the Patch #1 .exe hack(Its the DVD's .exe) and if I use the .exe in the main NFS 2 U file it works just fine,but not if I access the game via the EA Download Manager. Thanks Cristiano for getting this out so soon, very hot game right now. They are supposed to realease a Digital Download version soon so I dont know if that will still be working with that one.
