Title: Sunpro white face gauges
Post by: ItsDaPlumber on February 17, 2014, 04:49:47 am
Has anyone tried these gauges? I know that there is a member on here that used the black face SunPro gauges and they worked fine. Is there a list of confirmed gauges? I have the Type R gauges now and want something in Fahrenheit rather than C.

If I remember correctly there was a problem with the oil pressure gauge.

Hmmmmmm, i have that one. Well, I wil let you know when i bench test my dash. I have a sunpro white face fuel, 2 temperature, and an oil pressure. Do you know if the Black face gauges work? I really cant wait to show you what i have been working on! I dont have a camera that shoots to the lowest resolution that the forum requests. Does sim projects have a Google+ page? I post most of my pics and build vids there.

Hello.
Sorry I never tested the SunPro gauges so I can't say if the ones with the black face work better than the white.

Regarding FB or Google+, they have been in my todo list for years but really never had the time to do anything, so the answer is no, I don't have a Google+ page ready.

but I think you can use services like http://tinypic.com/ to host the pictures...

Regards

They all work in simDash! The fuel falls a little short of full. It might need a signal adapter.

Yes, people still use the forum.

A spam bot did hit the server a few days ago. It didn't really hack the forum, it just joined the forum like a normal user would and posted spam. I am sure when one of the Admins comes on they will delete the messages and delete the spammers account. I run a couple of forums myself and I know it is a constant battle trying to keep spammers out.

As for your question. See if you can find a wiring diagram and some Ohm specs of the gauges.

What I have found through doing my own dash is that if the senders have 1 or 2 wires leading to the gauges then they will typically work but the gauges that have 3 wires coming from the senders don't work because they use a +5v reference which the Progauge can't reproduce.
