Hi Christiano,
my DLC-247 ist not recognized by SimDash anymore. But it seems to be independent of the SimDash version (tried with V5 and V6). The device status in the device manager says, that the device cannot be started (code 10). Do you have an advice, what could be the problem? My DLC was working well for nearly three years, I hope it is not broken?
Best regards,
Mario

This is the exact same problem I have. There was a period of about a week that I didn't power up the computer because my wheel was broken, and when I powered it back up, I don't think it was working. I did a Windows Update, but I don't remember if it was working before the update.
My Rev Burner and Rev Burner Speed are both working fine.

Flatspotter: You gave the right hint: In the last Windows Update a Microchip USB/COM 4 driver update was done. This seems to be the reason for the malfunction of the DLC. I deleted this driver using a driver toolkit from Gigabyte (the vendor of my motherboard). After restarting the PC and reconnecting the DLC it started working again :D
I had to use the driver toolkit, because I couldn't delete it in another way. So look for this device in the device manager (should be marked yellow) and try to delete the corresponding driver. That worked for me ...
Best regards,
Mario

Thanks, Mario! That worked!
I went into Device Manager, right clicked on the device, chose Properties, uninstalled it, then chose to delete the driver when asked. I unplugged and replugged the DLC-247, and it worked!
Thanks again for your help! You're the man!

Thanks for the tip. Deleting the driver of the DLC-247 in Divice Manager worked for me.
I'm on win 7 x64

well it worked , BUT i was all happy to see the little green light next to connected but I looked up at the ' monsta ' and all I get is the bottom right in red is _._ _ . _ _ _ and right over that is flashing 273 . the brightness is also low . I tried V5 and V6 .

Hello! I've tried all suggestions here, but no success...my DLC-247 still isn't working with windows 7 (Ultimate 64bits). On the device manager, I've an error on a USB Serial port, identified as "Microchip Technology, Inc. USB Serial port (Com3)", driver version 5.1.2600.9, dated 06-10-2014.
All was working fine, just happened after a windows update. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I found a fix for the problem! Plug in the device and let it fail to install. Then go to My Computer and right click on it then select Properties. On the top you will se Device Manager. When you have it open select the device right click on it and select Properties. Select the third tab Driver. Then go Update Driver. Select Browse my computer for driver software. Next you must select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. There will be 2, select the first one and click Next. THE DLC-247 NOW WORKS AGAIN. ;D
If anyone has trouble I'll be glad to help.

Hi David
Thanks for that, do you think you could post a couple of screen shots to show people? (I would, but I dont have a DLC-247 here at the moment!)
