Hi Cristiano,
I've installed the DLC-247 and updated SimDash to version 1.3.6.
I also have your .56" three-digit 7-segment display. The problem is the display brightness is too dim. I have tried both methods, powering via USB and also via the 5-volt external supply with the switch on the DLC board toggled appropriately. The brightness slider in SimDash has no effect to the DLC-247. I've set the brightness to opposing extremes of 2% and 100%. There is no effect on the LED brightness. The brightness stays the same. Is the DLC-247 not recognizing the SimDash's brightness slider? (Please note, I also have the Pro Shift and I am getting lots of brightness from LEDs powered by the Pro Shift.)
Also, I have lots of surplus 7-segment displays. I experimented them with the DLC-247, but the LEDs are also dim. Is it due to the issue described in the paragraph above, or are these surplus LEDs the incorrect rating? They are 16mcd luminous intensity, 20mA forward current, and 4v forward voltage.
Thanks for your help.

Hello.
Have you tried to connect the display to different pins of the DLC-247 controller?
does the brightness stay the same?
-
I tried connecting a display to each of the 3 groups of terminals. In no case did the brightness slider function.

Hi.
the brightness slider of the DLC-247 controller works in a different way than the one in the PRo Shift.
When you move the slider with the pro shift, all the LEDs are turned on and you can see what the brightness is.
Instead with the DLC-247 when you move the brightness the LEDs/displays are turned off, and you can't see in real time what the brightness is.
you have to close the configuration dialog and play to see if the brightness level is ok for you.
do you think this information helps in your case?
Thank you
Cristiano

Thanks.
I have the brightness issue sorted out.
A couple more questions:
1. Is SimDash able to handle multiple DLC-247s? I'm already maxed out with 24 LED displays on my existing DLC controller.
2. Anybody having issues saving the DLC-247 config settings? After making config settings, I click OK to exit the DLC screen. Next I click exit to close SimDash. When I relaunch SimDash, the DLC config settings weren't saved. Strange, I can save the DLC settings when I am at the SimDash screen and I disconnect the DLC's USB cable.

Hello.
You can use multiple DLC-247 if you need to.
Regarding the problem with saving the settings, are you saying that if you leave the usb cable plugged in, settings are not saved? Do you get any message error?
Thank you
-
Correct, if the USB cable is still connected, I click OK at the DLC screen, followed by closing the Sim Dash screen exiting via the pull down menu.
No error screens pop up via either method.

I'm having the same problem with saving DLC-247 settings. I have to export them, then when I start SimDash (v.1.4), I have to import the settings for them to show up. I am running the DLC-247 with an external power supply (supplied by SymProjects).
Settings for the two RevBurners I have are being saved with no problems.

thank you for reporting the problem.
I will investigate the problem and probably will ask you to do a couple of tests if you are available.

I don't have the problems having to restore the configuration (DLC 247, without supply).
I tried the first new indicators for GTR2 - they work fine - thanks!!

It's working now. I don't know what happened; when I first set it up, the settings didn't get saved. I exported the settings, and imported them, and it seems to remember them now without having to load them every time.
One question: if I save the settings on the DLC-247, does that also save the settings on my two Revburners, or do I have to save them separately?

if you export the DLC-247 setting from inside the DLC247 configuration screen, you are not exporting rev burner settings.
Similarly if you export rev burner settings from the rev burner configuration screen, you don't export DLC247 settings.
if you want to export the settings of all the plugins at the same time, including the settings for all the simulators, use the menu File -> Export Settings... and File -> Import Settings...
