Title: Cannot get Rev Burner to work
Post by: Dirtracer40 on February 06, 2013, 10:21:16 pm
I have the rev4 Burner, had it for several months and finally getting around to hooking it up

I have a Pro-Comp Memory Tach.

I hooked it up and when I open simdash (ver 1.4.1) it says the Rev Burner is connected and lets me adjust it when I go into the configure and click on the test buttons.

When I go into a game it does not respond. I have tried iRacing, Game Stockcar and rFactor all with no response.

GSC and RF i was able to click on the configure button and point to the game folder. iRacing is installed on my E drive and there is no configure buttom.

Hello.
I understand that the tacho moves when you configure it in the configuration screen, in SimDash.
That's good news.

When you start one of the games, does SimDash detects that the game is running?
It should display an icon of the game and say "IRacing is running", rather than "No simulator detected"

when I opened it, it showed that X-sim was running. I am not sure what that is. But I went to the top and clicked on x-sim and unchecked the plugin and now when I start iRacing the tach is working.

Thanks for your help

The only problem I have now is that the tach is about 500 rpm behind the sim.

if the tachometer is a bit behind, you can open the rev burner configuration screen and calibrate it correctly.
