Hello!
First of all I like what you are doing for us Cristiano!
Second, I want to purches some of your stuff, but I don't know if it would work...so here is my list:
- DLC-247 (1 piece)
- 0.36" Six digit display for DLC-247 (1 piece)
- 0.56" display for DLC-247 (1 piece)
- 0.56" Three digit display for DLC-247 (7 pieces)
- 5mm Leds (70 pieces)
And here is my question:
Do i need another DLC or do I just need a DLC-247 pins splitter(or two?)?
Thanks in advance for any help :)
David.

Hello.
You can't drive all those displays with only 1 DLC-247.
one DLC-247 can drive 24 displays, you have 28 plus the LEDs.
-
Thanks for the quick reply!!!!!
So can you tell me how many do i need? Or can you write me a list of things i have to buy to make it work. I want to buy it quick so i can finish my project :)
-
Hello.
you need 2 DLC-247 and at least 4 pin splitters.
for the LEDs, I would buy another pin splitter and one set of these wires:

Regards
Cristiano
-
oh ok so its not that easy as i thought. can you please take a minute of your time and write me a list of things that i need, for my configuration to work. I would really apriciate it :)
regards, David!
-
For the displays, you only have to plug them to the dlc-247, they already come with the wires so that is very easy.
first connect the pin splitter so you have enough connectors to connect all the displays
-
So will this work:
- DLC-247 (2 piece)
- 0.36" Six digit display for DLC-247 (1 piece)
- 0.56" display for DLC-247 (1 piece)
- 0.56" Three digit display for DLC-247 (7 pieces)
- 5mm Leds (70 pieces)
- DLC-247 Pin Splitter(4 pieces)
- 20 pin dual female splittable jumper wire - 300mm(4 pieces)
or do i need anything else?
-
That should be everything you need.

I have another question.
Can you configure the simdash software to switch between multiple data values on one display ???
Example: If you have a 0.36" Six digit display for DLC-247 and the first value would be Current lap time, the second value would be Last lap time and the third value would be best lap time. Can you use a button or rotary encoder to switch between these values while making laps in your game or do you have to go out and configure it outside the game?
Hope I've made it clear enought :D
Regards, David.
-
Ji.
you explained very well.
At the moment you can't do that but it is in my TODO list.

Nice! It will come in very handy when it will be done! :)
Can't wait for the feature 8)

Yay got my package today ;D
But im missing 2x 0.56" Three digit displa for DLC-247 and 1x DLC-247... ??? how will we sort this out cristiano??
-
Really?
I am very sorry.
Please send me an email to contact@symprojects.com with the list of the missing items and I will ship them ASAP.
Last night I was wondering why there was a DLC-247 on the desk there I pack orders and now I understand the reason.
Sorry again. I will be able to ship the missing items tomorrow (Saturday) if you send me the email before the end of the day.

hey!
I have a question, I've connected the pin splitter on my DLC 247 and then one 3 digit display on numbers 1-8(in the first row,1-8 pins on the pin splitter), the A-C cables on 18-19(first row) and the second 3 digit display on the second row of the pin splitter(pins 21-28 on the pin splitter), the A-C cables on the second row of the pin splitter(pins 37-39). When I try to configure the displays both my displays light up...so obviously I've connected them wrong :D can you tell me how to connect them properly?
Regards, David.

Hello.
connect pins 1-8 of the first display to pins 1-8 of the pin splitter (first row)
connect pins A,B,C of the first display to pins 17, 18, 19 of the pin splitter (first row)
connect pins 1-8 of the second display to pins 9-16 of the pin splitter (second row)
connect pins A,B,C of the second display to pins 17, 18, 19 of the pin splitter (second row)

so then can i for example connect 8 LEDs to pins 9-16(first row) and the positive pin from the LEDs to 20?
-
So I got my display's working :) It's easy to connect them if you read the instruction carefully.
Here are some pictures of the testing stage:

The next step are the LEDs :D
PS: From left to right: Current lap time, Gear, Speed, Fuel, Oil temp., Water temp.

I got my second shippment today! every thing was ok now :)
I was just wondering...will you build a plate so you can wire up LED's? I've put an attachment so you can se what i mean. The numbers from 1-8 would be attached to the positive pins of the LED's, and the number 0 would attach to 17-20 pin on the DLC 247. It would be great if you would make this Cristiano. Tell me what you think.
-
Hi.
I actually that a small pcb to mount LEDs could be useful. you had a good idea and it only takes few minutes to design.
unfortunately the production of the PCB takes free weeks, so you will have to wait a little bit.

If you would make them, and if the price was not to much...i would need 10 pcb's for my 75 LED's so how much do you think it will cost me? if its not too much I can wait 3 weeks :D if you are willing to make it...
-
I am definitely going to make it.
I will design the PCB this week end. it's simple and won't take a lot of time.
the price will just cover the cost of the PCB, LEDs and wires, like the other displays for the DLC-247 controller.

Cool! Will you sell just the board? I've allready purchased the wires and leds so i only need the board.
-
I definitely can do that

Cristiano how is it the progress on the board that we talked about? :)
-
I received the LEDs pcb yesterday and already tested them.
I haven't put them on the website yet. will do in the week end.
-
Nice! Thanks for making it! ;D Can't wait to order :)
-
Cristiano is the board gonna be in the store soon? ;D
-
Yes, I have already receive them.
they are still out of stock on the website because I have to change the page first, because the new board is a bit different, but from Monday it will be available.

I have found that rFactor 2 supports these values. Is it possible to intergrate them in SimDash? Or is it allready on your TO-DO list? :D
-
Hi.
where does that code come from?
I am happy to support the missing data if now it is available.

It's from rFactor2. And yes it is now available :)

I am going to investigate it.

hey I have 2 questions!
1. How is it going with the support for Indicators in rFactor2?
2. Can you make the lap time show as 12.02.32(minutes-2digits,seconds-2digits,miliseconds-2digits) becouse some cars can't run Nordschleife under 9minutes and Targa Florio is like 35minutes per lap...can you make that awailable?(I have added an attachment to show you what I mean).
-
Yes I can do it.
added to the things to include in the next version
