Title: dirt 3 patch 1.02

bonjour,
J' utilise simdash 1.3.3 avec un GI Max et un rev buner sur dirt 3 version 1.01 sans problème.
Depuis l'installation du patch 1.02, j'ai une erreur "sendto failed error 10038..." au passage de la ligne d'arrivée de chaque courses. Le jeu se bloque et impossible de continuer !!
Si je modidie la ligne dans le fichier hardware_settings_config.xml en remplaçant extradada="1" par extradata="0" je n'ai plus de plantage mais rien ne fonctionne.

dans les modification de ce patch il y a :

"Physics output to motion simulators is now correctly faded out at the end of a race, preventing some situations within which motion would continue after crossing the finish line"

je lance simdash avant de lancer le jeu mais ça plante sur la ligne d'arrivée d'une course, pendant la course tout fonctionne normalement.

What is crashing? SimDash or the game?

Ok. Thank you.
I'm still not sure if it is the game to crash or SimDash.

Anyway I will test it myself with my copy of Dirt 3.

J'ai réinstaller Dirt 3 et j'ai testé sans le patch tout fonctionne.
Dès que je met le patch 1.02 le jeu se bloque en fin de course sur la ligne d'arrivée.

dirt se bloque, j' appuis sur echap et dirt se ferme.
Simdash lui reste ouvert mais tout revient à zéro.

J'ai demandé à un ami de mettre extradata="1" dans le fichier sur son pc après avoir installer le patch 1.02.
Il a exactement le même problème, je jeu se bloque sur la ligne d'arrivée.
Il semblerait que l'on ne puisse se servir de cette modif pour faire fonctionner les appareils.
Avez vous une solution ?
je ne me sert que de dirt 3.

le test a été fait sans simdash mais seulement avec extradata="1".
dirt 3 se bloque  à la fin de la course

Hello.
I have done the test and I experience a similar problem (I have the Steam version of Dirt3).
The crash occurs at the end of the race, not at the end on the lap.
It is not related to SimDash because it happens even if SimDash is not running, so I am afraid there is nothing I can do about that.

It must be related to the new patch because I don't remember these crashes before.

hey guys!

   any news on this? it does seem to me from my limited testing that its the dirt3 game that crashes whenever the line extradata "0" is changed to extradata "1". it definately used to work ok but not now :(

it stopped working after the patch.
The problem is that extradata="1" is required but Codemaster says this is an unsupported feature and won't fix it.

Unfortunately at the moment the only solution is not to apply the patch.

I suppose you have edited the Dirt3 configuration file, as explained in the website.

Can you tell me the location of the file. because there are two on the disk, with the same name. the first (the good on) is in a subfolder in you documents folder. the second one I think is in the game's installation folder.

you can also post the file or its content here so I can have a look.

you should leave extradata="1" anyway

I think you have edited the wrong file.
if you open your "Documents" folder you should find the same file. it should be stored in some subfolder like "Codemaster" or "Dirt3", I don't remember well.

Please let me know if you can find it.

I looked in that folder but I did not find that file in that folder, that is why I went with the programs folder.

I do have 1 other question, is there a way to get multiple shift lights working? I have a Type R tach with shift light and a SPI-D that i would like working, the tach light works but I can't get the SPI-d working

you can have multiple shift lights.

the one on the tacho is driven by the tacho and not by SimDash. so these is no control of that from the software.

the SPI-D shift light should work fine. have you tried to invert they way the shift light's pin are inserted into the connector? because there is only one correct way.

or maybe is the software configuration. I can check that if you post a picture.
