General Discussions / Instrument Cluster Help
« on: June 18, 2012, 09:39:06 pm »
Hey guys, maybe someone can help me on this one. I'm building my simulator and I'm using a cluster panel from a '01 vw jetta and I plan to use both, the speedometer and tachometer. But it seems that I won't be able to connect it because it uses a bus/can( I have no idea what that is) system, so I'll have to get my own motors to use it with the revburner. My question is, what kind of motor should I use? I've been doing some research and I think I gotta buy a stepper motor, but I don't know what kind of spec is necessary to make it work (i.e voltage, amp). If anyone can help me on this one, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

General Discussions / Proshift e-brake mod

Hey Christiano, I have a proshift and I use the feature where you can use the 4 buttons. I plan to use one of the buttons as an e-brake for the simulator I'm building and my question is, would I be able to use a potentiometer instead of a button, so instead of pressing a 100% of the e-brake I can fluctuate the pressure?
Thanks

Hi Christiano, any news on the support for Simraceway? Do you think it'll be out in time for the new update 1.36?
thx.

I believe it is....I have an android cell phone and I have an app for telemetry which works on both, rFactor 1 and 2 and Simraceway. So I think they are somehow related or at least they use similar plugins.
thx.

Hey, I was just wondering if you guys plan to come out with the plugin for the new racing simulator Simraceway that just came out. I have the revburner and I'm unable to use it because there's no support for it.
thx. Will

Cool guys, thanks for all the help. I do have another question about a cluster I'm gonna use(2001 jetta) but I will open a new topic for that.

Hi, the subject is pretty self explanatory. I have 2 tachometers, one digital which consumes very little power and one non digital. I just bought the revburner(haven't received it yet) and I was wondering if it is possible to send the signal to both tachs using just one revburner.
Thanks in advance...Will.
