General Discussions / Re: DLC-247 config
« on: December 02, 2013, 06:08:24 pm »
you will need another dlc 24, you have 27 displays plus leds.  I have a dlc 247 display as well and I was able to configure 2 6 digit displays, 3 3 digit displays  1 2 digit display( a 3 digit but only using 2 digits)  and 8 leds.

I had to buy different displays than the ones supplied by symprojects for 2 of the 3 digit displays because of how the symproject displays are configured. The ones I bought had a separate pin for each led display segment. (8 plus ground)   I had to hook up 27 wires for each 3 digit display.. and wire some of the digits within the 3 digit display to different channels

lots of wires.

Don't know if it helps,  but I use tri color leds with the dlc-247. They have to be common anode.

General Discussions / My setup
« on: August 13, 2013, 04:16:15 pm »
Hello everyone, I figured I would share pictures of my setup. Its not real pretty,  but its a labor of love. I have had the frame for probabally 15 years but just recently got rid of the 21" crt and  added 3 screens and lots of symprojects goodies. The symprojects stuff is fantastic... I like to say its halfway done

here is what I started with and how it ended up, there is also a link to a short vid, sorry about the squeaky chair

I run a bunch of gauges and the lights were dim with the supply. Cristiano suggested this one ( if you are in the us)

cheap,  free shipping and it hooks right up to the board, now my lights aren't dim

I used the autometer 4486 a bit pricy but it works well, it also keeps track of how many miles I have driven     3 3/8 diameter

I got it here

Will these work with a proshift or a dlc-247?  They have multiple leads and several different colors inside one bulb

thanks

The stuff I ordered took 8 or 9 days to get to Chicago, you should get a message when it ships
