Cristiano,

Hurray! Your firmware did the trick!
It wrote a new serial number automatically without having to edit the config file.
Pretty cool!
Now I own my gauges again.
Thank You! I am VERY HAPPY!!!

« on: February 28, 2023, 04:40:11 am »
I used to run v6.0 and when my ProGuage serial would get corrupted I would do like it says, goto SimDash.exe.config and edit the lines "show test controls" from False to True.
Then go into Tach and select the change serial button, etc...It always worked. Never a problem.

My problem now is when I go into SimDash.exe.config there is no "show test controls" lines anywhere?
I can't edit what isn't there.
I am running v45.0.1 on Windows10 64
This is the first time my serial number corrupted since I installed v45.0.1 only 3 weeks ago.
Previously I was running v6.0

* I upgraded the Firmware to v2.
I still see no "show test controls" in SimDash.exe.config.

How do I reset my serial number?

Never mind...
I figured it all out.
More than I first Thought, I was doing it wrong.
I had to borrow(copy) the gallery background, and lay new text over it, in correct color.
Lots of corrections, but I got it to work!  :D
Very Awesome! Seeing my tire temps on my dash.

I had the same problem, it was that the serial# of my ProGauge board was corrupted.
I assigned a new one, and I could then save my gauges export with success.

Yes, I tried using the signal adapter to no avail. The SpeedHut 200mph GT40 Speedo did NOT work.
I am currently using a AutoMeter 160MPH speedo, SportCompII.

I just bought my SimScreen and am trying to display tire temps in rfactor1.
I downloaded the gallery widget "Wheels_04.lcd".
I loaded it using SimDash v6. and it shows up on the SimScreen.
When I start rfactor and go out on track, no tire data is shown on the widget.
I tried using SimScren editor, and going into Properties/Data sources, and going to Wheels and selecting Farenhiet for all of the 3 tire segments of all 4 tires.
I save and overwrite the existing .lcd file.
Run rfactor, still I have no tire temp data on the widget.

What am I doing wrong?
This is a stock SimScreen and the Firmware is not upgraded.
I assumed it would work out the box, my bad?
Help! :'(

When I said the Fuel level worked I was wrong. It does NOT work at all.
I had to buy a VDO Fuel Level gauge.
The VDO works fine.

I had to set it up using fuel gallons max @ 330.
This setting allowed it to work correctly otherwise it would not.

Here's an update.
The SpeedHut Speedometer 200mph did NOT work!
The needle would not move past 2/3 of the way at Max slider.
So this means that none of the Speedo's will work since they all use similar guts.
Well that's 2 down, Geez...

The Good News: The Fuel gauge works 100%

So there we go.
I will probably now try out an Auto Meter Pro-Comp Speedo 160MPH.
These do work, yeah?

Yeah, here's your link:
GOTO www.speedhut.com
Then goto the Speedhut category.
Look at their "Speedometers". (4.5")
There are many to choose from.
Look past your nose and you will find the 200 mph one.

I wish someone had given me a link and the answers to all of my questions.
I guess I just do things for myself.

Good Luck!

SpeedHut gauges do offer a 200MPH Speedometer, as I have just purchased one from them.
You do NOT need to buy Revolution series gauges, as regular SpeedHut gauges will do for whatever need you have.
Try examining the SpeedHut website a little deeper and you will find the exact Tacho/Speedo that you need.
BTW - No One has ever tested Revolution series gauges, I am the only one who has tested SpeedHut gauges so far.
Tacho, OIL Temp, and Water Temp are Tested and 100% working. SpeedHut series ONLY!!!

Ok, for everyone who wants a working Speedhut custom gauge:
Goto www.speedhut.com
Goto their Products page and only choose from the "Speedhut" category.
All of the other categories are either NOT tested or NOT working
as in the GT40 line for sure does NOT work with ProGauge.
Once you are looking at "Speedhut" gauges, I have so far tested
with success the RPM Tachometer and Water/Oil Temperatures.
You can get any Tachometer as they have very many to choose from.
As long as it is a Speedhut Tacho, not one of the other types they offer like revolution, GT40, Legacy, Jeep, etc.
I bought a 4-1/2" 6K RPM to match my real life Dodge Viper Tachometer.
Any temp gauge should also work. Mine are 3-3/8" Water 260F and Oil 300F.

I again am waiting on the arrival of their 4-1/2" 200MPH Speedo and 2-5/8" Fuel gauge.
Once I test these we all can know for sure the Speedo's and Fuel level gauges will work
for us all.

The coolest thing about Speedhut gauges is that you can select the background glow color and face color,
as well as adding custom graphix that also glow.

I would like to report that I received my gauges recently and have done some testing.
Regular Speedhut gauges work 100%.
I've tested Oil Temp, Water Temp, and RPM Tachometer.
These are all working great!
I also bought 2 shift lights and I've got these firing off at max RPM's.
Quite cool.
Now the bad news, Speedhut makes a GT40 series of gauges.
These DO NOT work!
I tested the GT40 Fuel Level, and Speedometer.
Neither work.
EndGame = Don't buy the GT40 gauges, get regular Speedhut gauges.

I have ordered a regular Speedhut Speedo and Fuel gauge, so I will report on these as soon as they arrive.
They should work 100% right out the box.

I really LOVE these Speedhut gauges as they glow blue and have red glowing needles.
All have programable warning lights too!

Is Pro-Guage compatible with SpeedHut guages?
www.speedhut.com?
I'm hoping that it is as I am very interested in a set of them.
