General Discussions / Need Help And I Am Willing To Pay For It
« on: July 02, 2015, 04:35:49 am »
Hello,

I am purchasing all glow shift gauges 5 of them including the tachometer which I believe will work with iRacing and the pro shift controller. I am looking for someone that I can ship the gauges to and all parts to so you can hook them up for me and get everything working for class b and class c truck for iRacing. I want someone to get them all hooked up and working properly for me and send both files to me on a floppy disc with the gauges back to me.

I have made a business venture and I just truly do not have time to mess with it right now.

If you are interested please email me at shaneparish08@yahoo.com and let me know what your fee would be. I will pay for all parts and shipping both ways.

Thanks
Shane

General Discussions / Will these gauges work?
« on: February 03, 2015, 04:03:55 pm »
I have been looking for a 300 degree water temp gauge that will work and I really like this one. Can someone tell me if these gauges will work? They look very similar to the gauges on sym projects web site and they use stepper motors. Anyway this would be an excellent option for alot of us to use with the nationwide, truck and cup cars on iracing at an affordable price. Anyway thanks for your help.

Since I am going to use 2 dlc-247 controllers on my computer, will i have to use the same pins that were used for the flags on another instrument? I am running the timing stack by sim racing hardware and it has a small green, amber and blue flag in there running.

Can I run 2 separate sim dash's to control 2 seperate dlc-247s or do I just use the same pins to activate my new light system?

Also which pin on the dlc-247 is the ground?

Thanks,
Shane

Hello.
you can connect multiple DLC-247 controllers to the same computer.

there is no problem.

Thanks so much for your help. I just called Speedhut and they said I can special order the rpm and speedo digits that I want in the Speedhut series.

This will be fun.

Have you tested the oil pressure, water pressure, fuel pressure, fuel level or voltage gauge yet?

I want to get those as well.

Thanks,
Shane

SpeedHut gauges do offer a 200MPH Speedometer, as I have just purchased one from them.
You do NOT need to buy Revolution series gauges, as regular SpeedHut gauges will do for whatever need you have.
Try examining the SpeedHut website a little deeper and you will find the exact Tacho/Speedo that you need.
BTW - No One has ever tested Revolution series gauges, I am the only one who has tested SpeedHut gauges so far.
Tacho, OIL Temp, and Water Temp are Tested and 100% working. SpeedHut series ONLY!!!

Hello and thanks for your reply. Can you give me a link to the 200+ speedo and the 10k tach that you purchased as well.

Does the water pressure, and oil pressure gauges work from the speedhut line?

Thanks

On the DLC is there a way to trigger a red flag when pit road is closed? I would like to hook up a red light on my rig and have it triggered when pit road is closed.

Do you have a wiring schematic for what pins on the DLC-247 need to be used for what flag that is being thrown in iRacing?

Has anyone used the GR4 Revolution gauges from speedhut. I love their gauges but I want my tach to go to at least 10k and the speedometer to go at least 200mph. Th speedhut gauges do not offer the correct testamentary that needs to be used for a real life experience. Anyway could you all let me know if these will work.

Thanks,
Shane

Can you run 2 of the DlC-247 boards at the same time? I have 1 dlc-247 board running in another application on my computer for the timing stack made by Sim Racing Hardware. I want to run another DLC-247 board to just activate the green, red and yellow flag lights. I want to use this board for the hook up of my light project only. Can this be done or not?

Thanks

Is the dlc-247 board signal a 5 volt dc or 5 volt ac output?

Thanks

The DLC-247 is the board which can control LED warning lights etc.

It is only 5v and it is only designed for small LED lights. You can use an additional 5v power supply but I am not sure what the amperage limit on the board is, but I would say that it won't be powerful enough to run anything larger than LED lights.

You could probably do something with relays. Have a bigger power supply running in to a relay then use the DLC-247 to trigger the relay.

Thanks for your help but do you know of a relay that would work for my project? I would really like to run a 12 volt converter so I could run as many led light strips as I wanted to. If you do not know of a relay do you know someone that could help me design this project?

Thanks

Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to work on a really fun project and I am needing some help from the community. I am in iRacing and I have 18-inch round traffic light inserts and I have 8-8 inch round green traffics light assemblies that I am going to buy and gut them to make a caution light and green light flag system on the roll cage on my simulator. Here is what I need to know.

Would I be better to buy led strip lights in the colors I need in a 12 volt if the board would handle 12 volt? I would much reater do this option ans it would look much better on my simulator. Please let me know what would better and easier.

1. Is there a way to simulate red flag conditions on pit road?

2. What board would I use to activate the caution lights to start flashing when the caution comes out then switch them off when caution is over? Will the same board turn on the green lights for green flag racing and keep them on until the race is over or until another caution comes out.

3. What is the largest size led bulb that I could run in my lights with the available board? Can I run all the lights (above) with 1 board or do I need to purchase more than one board?

4. If this is available could you please instruct me how to hook it up properly.

5. I am offering a cash help out reward if someone could help me out with my project.

You can answer here or email me at shaneparish08@yahoo.com
