General Discussions / Re: Wiring up a ZX6R gauge to a pro-gauge

Settings for temp and other gauges can be very sensitive to set. It might work in the 1000s, it might work below 20 (at max). Unless you can get the settings from someone that has it working, I suggest you take it slow. So set 4 sliders at 2-6-10-15 for exampl3e, see if one moves the needle and go from there....

I also found that sometimes you just have to unplug the whole thing for it to correctly respond (possible after you might have set it too high, not sure).

Speedo looks like it's mechanical, not electrical.

Since brown and black/yellow also go to the speedometer, and assuming the order left-right would stay intact, I'd say black signal, black/yellow + and brown -.

It also seems that the wires from speedo and tacho still come together further down, so if they actually do and not stay seperate it's 90% sure.

Nope. And last I heared from Cristiano was the 9th... If he doesn't jump into gear soon I'll just ask him to release the source code for the program. It seems pretty comon with these apps and gadgets that once people release and sell some stuff there is little motivation to change/enhance anything. Same thing with the Z1 software...

I'm just waiting for the 'real life' excuse or someting similar.

I've also requested to have fuel tank percentage added, would be alot easier than having to adjust everytime I swap trucks  ::)

I don't have mine connected right now, but out if the top of my head, you need to set values for 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.

The gauge could work at values 0, 10,20,35,50 aswell as 800,1300, 1650, 1788, 2134 or even reverse, so starting at 0% with a higher number, going down.

Just sweeping the slider towards something that shows a value isn't enough. obviously at the lower values, a change of 1 or 2 could have a huge impact on how the gauge responds. But same holds true for the higher values...

I just start to find something at 50% and work 'around' that, so to 25% and 75%...

You probably need to fine-tune it. Sometimes more than just 1 value works, for example for 25% both 12 and 1300 could work as a value. In my experience lowest value works best.

I guess the forum will stay dead, since there doesn't even seem to be a link to it on the site...

Ow boy... and this is the main reason I bought the ProGauge.....

While we're at it, can you add the air pressure gauge? Or should that already work?
