Ok, I wired everything up according to the plan above. I only wired the the left 4 digits yet. When I test them only two digits work and the other two only work half (4 of 8 LEDs). Does anyone get the point why? Is the wiring-diagram wrong?
Or is the problem solved if I wire the other 4 digits too (because of some "rotating" of the signal of the microcontroller)?

I would appreciate any help, thanks!

EDIT: Problem solved, the cable from the DLC-247 to the digit-board had a failure, works fine now  ::)

Hello,

I'm planning to connect some of my 7-segment displays through little switches, so that I can switch them on and off during the race (for example if I don't want to see the best laptime for some reason). Is it possible to switch them on and off during the race without damaging the board or crashing the software?
This is going to be my wiring-diagram for a stripboard: (There are no drawn horizontal connections to keep it clean)

The little red pointed lines with the "S1" and "S2" are the switchable interruptions of the signal to pin 17, 18, 19  and 20.

Thanks in advance!

I have the DLC-247.
Just looked in the configuration screen but couldn't find it in first place, but now it's totally clear, thank you for your help anyways.
Haven't tested it yet because I'm still planning my build, layout, wiring and configuration, but I guess it will work perfectly.

Again, thanks for your quick response, you're doing a great job!

Hey Christiano,

Thanks for the quick rFactor2 support, nice job!

I,ve downloaded the 1.3.6 beta version, but I can't find the option for the diffrent blinking configuration of the LEDs.
For example, I want to use one LED, which is blinking slowly when the oil-temp is above 110°C, and blinking fast when the oil-temp is above 115°C. Is that still not possible?

EDIT: Okay, I found it, problem solved! Man I can't wait to finish my dash...

Thank You, BaumGT
