Anyone have this issue? I tried to update my USB controller driver but still the same. It used to work fine before an OS upgrade/downgrade.

Thanks, Darren

I thought i read something about not using a USB 1.0 cord. Then i thought, "How do you tell the difference?"
A USB 3.0 extension is the same USB. i think it carries more power or something, not sure.

Nothing lights up in the configuration screen and i will triple check that i have them in the right way. Same with the DLC. i have 2- 3 digit displays currently connected and when clicking the 24 test buttons, i cant get anything to light up. And its both pro shifts. Neither light up. I will check all connections again. That is why i asked about the USB cables. I thought maybe they were the problem.

Are there any? Short ones, long ones, extensions, multiple extensions, USB3.0 extensions, ferrites, no ferrites. Is there a way to verify if a USB cord is 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0.

Thanks,
darren

« on: June 30, 2014, 05:29:03 pm »
I have 2 proshift boards and 1 DLC board. My question is: when i am in the configuration screen of each board, are the lights supposed to light up? SimDash sees all the boards but nothing lights up in any of the configuration screens. I configure everything but nothing works in the sim(iRacing only). The boards were working and i thought that everything lit up while configuring it the last time i did it. I have another DLC that was in the same dash. That one isn't reconized. I have quite an investment on these things. Like i said. They are all recognized by the computer and simdash ver5 . Any help would be great!!!!!

My list:
2-DLC
2-proShifts
1-RevBurner
1-Pro gauge
2-JC-32 JS controllers
SPI-D
GIMax
4-DLC splitters
3- 6 digit displays
2- 3 digit displays
26- rotary encoders

Can that be done? I tried it and both displays light up, so i just assumed splitters are not for displays.

They all work in simDash! The fuel falls a little short of full. It might need a signal adapter.

Ok, My bad! My aluminum backplate on my dash was making contact with one of the gauge leads. i tested them outside of my dash and they all work in SimDash. The fuel doesn't go quite to full tank. I might need a signal thingy on that one. The oil pressure works in simdash.

yes, this board was in my old dash and worked the typeR gauges. I connected the Sunpros and i have nothing. No lights and no movement. Board is recognized in software. removed the sunpros and connected 1 typeR gauge and nothing lights up. I will test today after work.

Yup, thats exactly what i did. Not a light bulb goes on and the filaments are fine. I think its the board. The TypeR gauge doesn't work either.

yea, he must have changed them. Its not that old at all! I'm trying to work these sunpro white face gauges and i get no response on the gauge from the software. I can't even get the lights to go on for the gauges. I tried the 1A PS and nothing, i went to a 2A PS and nothing. Do you think i need more? I used the 1A with the TypeR gauges and it worked fine.

Hmmmmmm, i have that one. Well, I wil let you know when i bench test my dash. I have a sunpro white face fuel, 2 temperature, and an oil pressure. Do you know if the Black face gauges work? I really cant wait to show you what i have been working on! I dont have a camera that shoots to the lowest resolution that the forum requests. Does sim projects have a Google+ page? I post most of my pics and build vids there.
