Kind of sorted it out. Getting a bigger range of rpm now. Still not perfect but if anyone is getting any problems let me know.

General Discussions / Fuel Gauge going wrong way
« on: August 09, 2014, 06:48:50 pm »

My problem is the fuel gauge goes up instead of down.
When fuel is emptying from game the dial goes up to the F (Full) mark.

I am really worried there is no way around this. Can someone help please?

Is there a way to change the setting from a Assetto Corsa game to "invert" settings.

Bought pro gauge and built a custom dash hoping it will all work.
There is no config button for Assetto Corsa but shows Assetto Corsa as a supported game.

I can't get the gear shifter GI Pro, Rev burner and Rev speed. All three are detected with SimDash.

Any tips? Is this a steam issue?

Edit: I got it working when I clicked "auto -detect" on the plugin. But now need to get the min and max aligned.

Sorry. I have yet to TEST the speedometer guage on the OTHER rev board. I will test this tonight and let you know. But I know it will not work as it has happened to me before same thing.

But I am pretty sure for some strange reason a power surge is causing the speed guage to die.

That's right. I bought two rev counters and open it up as you can see from the above thread. I did DIY Dash setup.

The rev always works fine. But the speed like I said before has died two times after 2-3 months usage.
Good idea. I will switch the board. and test.

These are the ones I buy. It works fine with the REVS. And also fine with the speed for 2-3 months.

On the simdash screen it  shows GREEN light for REV burner RED light for rev burner for speed and GREEN light for GI PRO

I puchased two rev burners.  One for REVS, one for SPEED.

I bought two identical rev needle guages from ebay. These are well known and are still selling on there.

So rev and speed both work for two months then all of sudden the speed guage seems " DEAD ".

So I think to my self a power surge of some sort has destroyed it and I will now have to buy the same needle guage from ebay. So I purchase another guage (same) and connect it to the rev burner board like last time.

I play for about 3 months this time!!!   I decided to disconnect my computer this time as I got a new GTX480 GFU to install for SLI. So the computer is out of action for maybe 3 days. I plug it all together now and realise simdash is not detecting "rev burner for SPEED".

YES... two speed guagues gone dead!

I got really worried because I thought. "oh no. here goes another £25.
The rev burner is fine. like it was last time. it detects USB and it detects the RED LIGHT ON THE chip board.

Help Cristiano if you can.

Thanks so much Cristiano. That and I'll buy rev burner for water temperature and fuel gauge when you've released it.

Thanks sooo much Cristiano!!!

The new simdata program has give new life to my speed-o-meter. It now reaches its full mph.

A joy to see my ferrari hit full speed (184mph) on the long straights of Monza.

BUT I cannot get it to go over 160mph with X-SIM!!!

Can Cristiano explain how to do this please?

I thought it would be just a software issure because the rev needle goes from 0RPM to 10K RPM which is like nealry 270 degrees.

Why can't the mph do that. When it stops at 160 it is only moved approz 200 degrees.
It doesn't seem write a ferrari stopping at 160mph :P

Thats why I thought it was a software issue hoping X-SIM could make it correct.
Anyway I wait for what ever & also water and temp gauge boards.
