General Discussions / Re: Has support ended?
« on: May 18, 2015, 08:48:37 pm »
Hi,

I ordered hardware in march and had some Problems finding the right information to set it up properly. I sent an email to contact@symprojects.com and Cristiano responded within 48h, so support in general shouldn't be an issue.
My DLC-247 works quite well with Assetto Corsa and iracing but atm I can't get it working wit Project Cars and Kart Racing Pro, although these titles are listed as supported games.
I think if you're not sure about future support just email Cristiano and ask him.

Thanks for the reply, good to know the response is still there, but I still think an occasional appearance on this forum would put people's minds at rest. He may be responding well in the background, but it does not fill me with confidence for example that future sims will be supported by SimDash.
I am very happy with my Prorace, and SimDash v5 or 6 are all I need, and what is bought is bought - I don't expect never ending support; but as a customer, when it is time to spend my money on more electronic dash hardware, I will be wary if I can see no obvious activity by the seller.

(Just my opinion, and certainly no offence meant to Cristiano, who has been very helpful to me in the past).

I just wondered if Symprojects hardware is still sold and supported?

My ProRace dash is thankfully still working ok with my favourite GSC, but I wonder if it will work with the latest sims such as Assetto Corsa or Project Cars?

I must be honest, I would be reluctant to buy more hardware as I never see Christiano on the forum any more, or any requests for advice being answered, except for occasional help from other forum members.

The link to the forum has also been missing from the main site for months now, so new customers cannot even get to it.

Does anyone have any up to date experience of purchases or support?

Thanks :)

General Discussions / SimDash not working with rFactor Steam version
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:18:05 pm »
Has anyone else bought the Steam version of rFactor 1 ?
SimDash (and my ProRace display) works fine with my standalone DVD version of rF1, but I have also just bought the Steam version, and the software/display are not working.

Any ideas would be welcome,

Keith

Hi Cristiano,
did you know the link to this forum has disappeared from your homepage?
Thought you should know - luckily I had the forum bookmarked :)

General Discussions / Reporting a bug in Pro Race Profiles
« on: June 10, 2014, 09:09:52 pm »
Hi Cristiano,
thought you should know about a bug I have found in SimDash.

I have saved a few different profiles from my Pro-Race, using the export option in the menu, one for Game Stock Car, one for Nascar Racing 2003, and a couple of others.
In all of these profiles, I never use any of the buttons as toggle switches, so the 'toggle  switches' tick boxes on the Buttons tab in the Pro Race config screen are always unticked.
However, whenever I import any of them back into SimDash  , ALL switches on the ProRace become toggle switches. I then have to go into the config and untick them all, and then it works fine. I have tested this several times, with ver 4 and ver 5, and it does this every time i.e it always ticks all the boxes, making them all toggle switches.

Cheers,
Keith

General Discussions / Re: Sim Monitor and Lap Times

That's great news thanks Cristiano, I would definitely buy it if it would show all driver lap times in Game Stock car, I hope that will be possible  :)

General Discussions / Sim Monitor and Lap Times
« on: March 27, 2014, 10:58:37 pm »
Hi Cristiano,
the Sim Monitor software looks interesting, and I'm testing it on an extra monitor, but I was wondering, is there any way for it to display lap times of other cars, so that I could create a session timing screen on another monitor? That would be really useful.

Cheers
Keith

General Discussions / Re: Pro-Race LED's Too Bright
« on: November 06, 2013, 11:20:50 am »
I have also noticed this extreme brightness - I have them at 2% (except the yellows, they are ok at 20% I think).
I was also wondering if there was a way to tone them down any more. (could always stick some coloured cellophane over them lol) .
regards
Keith

Well, I think this is the most expensive 10yr old pc game I have bought, £33 off ebay. I missed it when it was released, and kept reading so much good about it so I finally found one for sale. And I must say it is brilliant so far :)

Ah thanks Swifty, yes I was using the nocd exe. As soon as I put the disc back in and use the original file, it works fine. That's a shame, I don't like leaving the disc in the drive, but looks like I will have to use this one.
Thanks Cristiano also, sorry for the false alarm :)

It says 'no simulator running'. Can you tell me what the exe should be? It is currently NR2003.exe

Thanks for the reply, but I don't use x-sim motion software, so I do not think I can use this information. I usually use simdash simply to control my pro race steering dash display and buttons. NR2003 is supposed to be compatible but I see nothing on my display. Thanks for trying to help, it's appreciated :)

Just got hold of a copy of Nascar 2003, patched it to 1.201, but no sign of it being recognised by simdash/prorace display. I make sure to start simdash before starting NR2003, but still nothing. Has anyone else had experience of getting this one working please?
