General Discussions / Load cell amplifier
« on: December 31, 2012, 05:10:41 am »
I was wondering if symproject is going to develop a , at least 12-bit, load cell amplifier with a, whether or not with a variable gain control (if that is really necessary) to which you can also connect a pressure sensor/transducer or something that meassure the pressure from an hydraulic system and converts this signal into an elektrical signal? Or a, at least 12-bit joystick with a load cell amplifier?

General Discussions / Assetto Corsa

Is there going to be an Assetto Corsa support?

Kunos, developer of Netkar Pro started developing a whole new race sim. As Kunos started developing this sim from the ground up, there probably will not be any license problems and you probably are allowed to add Assetto Corsa to your list.

Let's hope so because this sim sounds very promising.

General Discussions / need for speed shift
« on: February 23, 2012, 06:40:16 pm »
I just started using the GI pro and SPI-D again after almost one year. Connected everything, installed SimDash v1.3.3. Checked everything in SimDash and I thought I was ready to go.
Due to lack of time at the moment, I haven't got the time to test other sims but when I start Shift, nothing works. SimDash detects shift. Bot symprojects devices are working perfectly but not in Shift.
I installed shift patch 1.02 and configered SimDash accordingly.

Help; ???

General Discussions / DIY G25/27 Hydraulic brake PCB question.
« on: April 30, 2011, 07:04:51 am »
Cristiano

Isn't it possible to develop a PCB which converts a pressure from a load cell or a load sensor, (similar thing used in the APelectrix or the Perfect Pedal) to a signal that can be recognised by the electronics of the G25/27 steering wheel?

The potmeters of a G25/27 pedal is 10K linear but the pressure from a load sensor is different.

First photo is the PCB that converts the pressure signal into a signal similar as the 10K potmeter of G25/27 pedals.
Second photo is the pressure sensor. I heard that this type of sensor isn't strong enough to widstand pressure for a long time, but there are other pressure sensors or load cells that will do the the same and is much stronger. Not a USB PCB but a PCB that you can connect directly to the wires originally coming from the pedal's potmeter.

Leo Bodnar has a Load Cell USB interface but this doesn't work when the G25/27 is connected to the PS3.

General Discussions / Joystick controller

Is there a chance that you are going to develop a joystick controller in the very near future, similar to the one from Leo Bodnar? ==> BU0836A or X  ;D

I mean a thing to which we can connect switches, rotary switches, hat switches, buttons etc... .

Cristiano. Would you mind that I post the Dutch translation I did last year of your website? Problem is; the PDF file is almost 500kb big.

General Discussions / X-sim
« on: April 06, 2011, 12:49:27 pm »
I'm puzzled. What do we need the X-sim software for? Is this for making other race games to work with the SymProject items that are not supported by the SimDash?

E.g. if I want to make the RevBurner work with 1nsane, do I need to configure X-sim?
