General Discussions / looking to add some gauges to my dashboard
« on: July 13, 2017, 05:43:08 pm »
Been some time since I have done any sim racing but looking to get back into it and with that comes tinkering with my cockpit.  currently I have a progauge with tach, speedo, oil temp and water temp.  I have Project cars, Assetto Corsa and RFactor2 any other gauges you would recommend to add, I was thinking fuel level, oil pressure, turbo (Assetto/ boost or PSI?). any help would be great.  FYI i have the Dragon gauges for the water and temp currently.

General Discussions / Toggle Switch and Pro Race wiring question
« on: September 24, 2013, 03:27:24 am »
So I have a Pro Race with the button adapter and a Toggle Switch
http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-pcs-Toggle-Switch-with-White-LED-Fog-Light-/331030404829?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d12f31edd

Can someone tell me how to wire this switch and supply power to the LED while still having the switch work with the Pro Race button portion of the board (when the switch is in the "on" position it represents a button press)

My last attempt at asking this was not helpful to me ( my fault wiring and electronic not my strong point) and I believe the people on this forum were trying to set up the switch as a supply power (on) no power (off).

General Discussions / Pro Race and button adapter wiring question
« on: June 02, 2013, 04:55:07 pm »
I have received my Pro Race and from what I can see everything is working, but my question fals on the button adaptor and a safety toggle switch that I have, the switch is from ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flip-Safety-Cover-Blue-Led-Car-12v-Toggle-Switch-BS1-/170711139955?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bf2d4673

my question is there a way to wire up the switch and have the LED work at the same time with the pro race, I believe the last time I tried to wire this switch up with a Leo board I fried a portion of the board.

So I am waiting for the gauge board to come out and then make a purchase for that and a pro race along with some encoder, so a good size order.  Anyone know of a promo code that can be used?

General Discussions / Type R survey

I have a post in the Slow Type R speedo post but i figured if i started a new post I might get a little more traffic.

I would like to take a poll on the racers that were able to get results with the pot adjustments, what is the output of your power adapter. Just want to cover all my bases.

As I have tried adjusting my speedo and has made only a little of improvement.

General Discussions / New project?

I was wondering how much work it would be for you to port your sim screen to a monitor, not sure if you are anyone else is interested in this but I have been looking for a application that would supply telemetry to a usb monitor. looking for the same kind of data that you feed to your devices. I have seen a handful of apps for different Sims (Iracing, LFS) but having something that runs on sim dash would be great.

General Discussions / dual displays
« on: November 01, 2012, 06:01:15 am »
So here is my question I have a GI Max and a SPI-D, they are great and I have built two custom pods for them, now I have  been doing a fair amount of F1 2012 on PC and I would like to add a gear and speedo on my F1 wheel.  Would it be possible to purchase your DLC displays without the DLC-247 and split the signal from the GI Max and the SPI-D to power and run the DLC displays mounted to the F1 wheel.  So ideally I am looking for a poor man's pro racer, if it comes down to it I will wait for the gauge board and maybe order the pro racer at the same time, but of course I am looking for a bit of a challenge.  Thanks in advance.

General Discussions / Trimming a SPI-D?
« on: September 30, 2012, 07:29:54 am »
Hi, I am in the process of assembling a Speedometer and had a question of trimming my SPI-D. I would like to cut away some of the lower corners (bottom two mounting holes), I do not see any traces in these corners so I assume this will be ok, but I just wanted to check first.

General Discussions / cluster wiring
« on: February 01, 2012, 04:00:49 pm »
So I have been doing some small purchases of parts and I have gathered from what I have been told a 92 Civic dash with wiring harness and a 92 Integra GS cluster, the connectors seem to fit, but how can I find out which pin powers what as I would at this time only want to us the tach, speedo, fuel and temp. What steps would I take to find the correct pins for these gauges? would I use a volt meter? Do I use the Rev burner itself to test? I also will need some LED set up as it looks like the bulbs were removed from the cluster.

General Discussions / Upcoming board realease?
« on: January 18, 2012, 12:56:31 am »
I am waiting for the release of the new all in one board to run my other gauges (oil, water, fuel?), which I have not purchased yet, can you tell me if this new board will also work with a speedo, I have a dash with no factory gauges, but would like to add a stock cluster if this new card has the ability to run a speedo as well. would like to just have to purchase 1 more board rather than two, since I all ready have a GIMAX and a SPI-D, just looking to add kick up the sim factory

General Discussions / swapping out LEDs onr Type R tach
« on: January 11, 2012, 09:45:43 pm »
I would like to swap out the stock blue LEDs with some super brights and I wanted to confirm it is a plain swap and I don't need to do anything different. IE remove resistors or add any.

Or should I change the tach to a super bright red to mach the GI Max?

sorry pic upside down
