Mechanical Speedo
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:50:31 pm »
Hi - My first post on this great forum - Being of a certain age, I am interested in creating the dashboard from older classics especially the MGB which has a mechanical speedo operated by a cable drive from the gearbox. To adapt this for Sim use, I envisage the speed output from the sim driving a small electric motor and controller in place of the revolving cable to give the correct speedo needle movement.

Would this be feasible and relatively easy to do?

Thanks .. Andy    ???

Hello.

I think it's feasible.

Are you thinking of doing it yourself?
