Pinout JC24 Joystick Controller
« on: April 25, 2013, 03:20:00 pm »
Hi guys,

A friend of my who isn't that technical purchased the JC24 Joystick Controller (http://www.symprojects.com/shop/jc24-joystick-controller/).
I know how it works to connect buttons in a matrix, but i can't see how i must connect it to the 10-pins header on the PCB.

Can you tell me which pins are for the colums and which pins are for the rows? The pins are only numbered on the pcb from 1 to 10.

Thanks alot for the input.

hi
the firsts 4 pin are the GND and the other pins are for buttons...  pins from 5 to 10 can be connected to pin1, pin2, pin3, and pin4...

ex.
pin5 to pin1
pin6 to pin1
pin7 to pin1
pin8 to pin1
pin9 to pin1
pin10 to pin1

pin5 to pin2
pin6 to pin2
pin7 to pin2
pin8 to pin2
pin9 to pin2
pin10 to pin2

pratically in the pin 5 you can connect 4 buttons and these buttons need to be connected to the first 4 pins... (button1 pin5 & pin1, button2 pin5 & pin2, button3 pin5 & pin4, button5 pin6 & pin1)
the same thing can be done for the other pins (6to10)
