Cristiano,      Here's a loop for you.... it works in ROAD RACING  not in OVALS,  so, maybe it is not your end...  I ran an RR and it worked as it is supposed to!   But Still does not work in Ovals....

    Anyone else get these results?

thanks.
Maybe it is IRacing that doesn't output the flag for the oval.
I will investigate anyway if there is something specific for ovals in the API.

thanks
Cristiano

Cristiano it worked when I first installed.. ALL functions were proper.. Than I did update for buttons... and broke..  Now I have reflashed back to original and still no OVAL yellows in Iracing... Road Races work fine, and  EVERYTHING works properly in RFACTOR..

My guess is somehow update to firmware is the culprit....    Karl

“UNDERSTEER” is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
“OVERSTEER” is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
“HORSEPOWER” is how fast you hit the fence.
“TORQUE” is how far you take the fence with you.

Well after flashing back to original, and running new simdash   I have no flags at all in iracing... other things do work in iracing,,,  And everything works in rfactor..

Christiano do you have any ideas on what else I could do, as others seem to have no issues, and I have gone to not working at all in Iracing... I bought this just for Iracing...      Cheerz  Karl

if the other stuff work in IRacing and the LEDs work correctly with the other simulator, I can't think of any reason why the flags should not work in IRacing.
Reading the other messages it seems that the flags are not outputed in oval tracks. is it possible they work in some tracks and don't work in others?

it also would be interested if you opened the "View data" dialog in SimDash (from the top menu).
that dialog shows all the data that is coming from the simulator. Can you see the flags there? I think can't. my feeling is that IRacing is not outputting the flags state.

thank you for doing the tests.
I will check the IRacing plugin again to see if I missing something.
I will also post a message in the IRacing developer's forum if I can't find anything.

I will try to fix this in the next release of SimDash.

thanks

I also have had no luck with the Yellow flag. I have tested on a couple of ovals and I can confirm that Green and Black are working.

@karledulle in iR you can use the Spectate / Ghost Sessions to do some testing vs paying for hosted. Also if you didn't already know, you can alt + tab out of the session and make changes to Simdash and rejoin for testing changes to SD. I didn't know this at first and was quiting the Test sessions each time and starting a new! I'm saving a lot of time now! lol

Yeah when I first installed it worked great, and that was how I tested it.. My guess is 1.3.4  is where it was lost.... I just figured i'd spring for actual sessions to see if it made a difference...   DEPRESSING     and now I see end of NOV is closer to end of DEC..  yeay... just really bites when it was all working fine..

I am investigating the problem with the yellow flag.
SimDash 1.3.4 is using the new IRacing API but v. 1.3.3 was using the old one, where the flag worked.

I can post the link for downloading SimDash 1.3.3 if anybody wants it, until this bug is fixed.

thanks

No going back to old version I lose other features, but thanks...   Any update on new release?

it should be end of next week.

But before I'd like to post a test version. I have changed few things in the  IRacing plugin and I wanted to check if it works better.

I have checked with the IRacing's developers if I am making mistakes when I extract the state of the flags but  everything is all ok.

I have been told the flags don't work well when you are testing a track or practicing. Only during the race they work well all the time.

Anyway let's see if the test version I will post works better. I will post it in 2-3 days.

thanks
Cristiano

Thank you for the info im my tread,
But I don't get why I should connect more than one - and one + in Order to get the rev counter and the speedometer working as I think all +'s and -'s should all be connected internally, or am I wrong (quite likely ;D)
