SLI on DLC 247
« on: February 20, 2012, 10:42:45 am »
I bought a variety of indicators and 2 DLC-247 boards.

Starting to get my head around how it all works now and got everything to function but the only thing I can't quite get to do what I want to do is the SLI/Gear Indicator unit.

I get the Gear Indicator working alright but the other leds I just can't see how to get a working combo.
When testing the displays I have the following things working together.

Top left and bottom left together
Top right
Bottom right

I guess I'm still missing something in the way I am trying to do things but any advise on the SLI with DLC would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello.

Have you checked this page:

http://www.symprojects.com/dlc-247-configuration/

that explains how to configure the DLC-247?

There is also a section about LEDs.

Thanks, I did get a bit further last night and I believe my problem may be with the % RPM in rfactor which is what I'm testing on currently.

I am using RPM percentage for these LED's and am assuming rpm goes from 0-100% but maybe that's not correct as I can go over 100% in the RPM field.

In the screenshot they use actual RPM itself there, but would I with that config not need to set it differently for each vehicle I am intending to drive as they would all have a different RPM scale, hence my intention to use % instead.

Thanks

I would use start with the RPM first, until you are sure it is properly configured.

Then try RPM%. rFactor should support that.

In any case SimDash 1.3.6 (there is a beta in this forum) supports multiple configuration. So you can switch from one configuration to another, depending on what car you are driving.

Hallo  :)

yesterday I tried SLI on DLC 247 (just arrived: quickly  :)) and I think that the section about LEDs is not user friendly for me:

How I select which connector (A or B or C), which cathode pin (1÷16) and anode pin (17÷20) corresponds led that I want use?

Thank you

Bye

I think here it is explained perfectly ;)
Just look which LED is connected to which connector.

8 LEDs replace a 7-segment display.

the cathodes of the 8 LEDs connect to pins 1 to 8 or to pins 8 to 16 of connector A, B or C. you decide.

The common anode of the 8 LEDs connect to pin 17, 18, 19 or 20 of the same connector.

Hallo

I made configuration with SLI Led, I learned how to do  :o; but now the problem is that SLI doesn't work fine (attached "prova1.xml" is actual configuration for GTL).
My problems are: "Green A" exchanged with "Green D"
                        off  "Red A"
off "Red F" and "Red G" and "Red DP"
but when I do the test with simdash, it is everything ok.

May anybody try it  :'( and help me?

Thank you

Hi.
At the moment I am away and I will come back next week. I am not sure I understood what the problem is but I will try your configuration file as soon as possible...
