Hi Christiano,

I use F1 2016 (Codemasters Steam Version).
When I race against AI offline my position is not correct on the SimScreen. For example when 4 cars are ahead of me the SimScreen tells me I am in 4th position but it should show me 5th position.

I use the latest version of SimDash.

Can you help me?

Questions about specific simulators / no hands and fixed steering wheel mod
« on: December 02, 2017, 10:42:35 am »
Hi,

I just want to let you all know that there is a "ingame no-hands and unmoving steering wheel" mod at racedepartment.
The ingame 3D hands and turning of the 3D steering wheel can be switched off with this mod and using symprojects hardware feels better with it. The game does not crash as far as I can tell after a few races.
You need to edit the file for the team whose car you want to drive before you start the game. If you choose another team ingame the hands will be there again. The ingame steering wheel does still give information like shiftlights, gear, speed etc. but just doesn't turn left and right anymore.
All information from the ingame 3D steering wheel can be shown on your symprojects hardware (gear, speed, RPM in numbers, last laptime, position, laps). The DRS-LED is not necessary because you hear a sound if DRS is available.

The steering wheel will completely disappear in "career" gameplay but it wont disappear in time attack and training etc.

It also works with the steam version of F1 2016.

edit:
Is it possible to get the fuel data from F1 2016 for SimScreen ?

Hi Christiano,

I will test it and reply this evening.

Edit:

SimScreen and Proshift in rFactor2 is working now. I don't know what I did wrong. I choose the normal installation folder. Alternatively I tried the rFactor2 installation folder in the Steam directory. It works, too. Maybe I needed to restart my computer...

Christiano, do you know if the rFactor2 DX11 beta works with symprojects products?

Regards

Hi,

my SimScreen does not show data and my LEDs (via ProShift) do not work ingame in rFactor2. Both hardware types work if I want to configure them in the SimDash Main menu. SimDash does recognize rFactor2 runnning.
I have chosen the right rFactor2 installation folder in SimDash. Did I miss something or is rFactor2 not supported at the moment?
Thank you in advance for help.

Hi,

is your list of data items that can be used in the sims (Simscreen) still up to date? Or will it not be possible to get data for Traction Controll & ABS + Pitspeed Limiter for rFactor2?

Does it work no more to use a LED for Pitspeed Limiter (via Pro Shift) and another for yellow flag like it was possible in rFactor1 and GTR2?

Overall the Sim Screen works perfect in rFactor2. I just have to wait 10 seconds when I am in car before I get data but that is no big deal and just the way isi wants it to be.

;D Great piece of hardware!!

Yes, I use the Pro Shift for my LEDs. It is no big deal if the LEDs only support one function. I think I will add an extra LED for Pit limiter to my G 25 in the near future.

I am afraid the Pro-Shift can't do that

Do you mean I can not add a LED for pit limiter to the Pro Shift if I already use other LEDs connected to the Pro Shift for my shiftlights? I think I will try it. I do not know if I can make clear what I am asking for. Thank you anyway, Christiano. Your products are outstanding.

I mean to use the LEDs for both funcions (shiftpoint and pit limiter activated). Like in this video...

Hi Christiano,

would it be possible if you could add this to the Sim Dash programm?

I want to use my shift lights to blink when I press the pit limiter. I don't want to use an extra LED for the limiter. Have you thought about the shift light LEDs to have this extra function? Can you tell if you would think about adding it?

Hi,

I want to get rid of the 2 decimal places for both oil and water temperature (for example 80 instead of 80,56).

Can somebody tell me what I have to change in the SimScreen Editor in order to get rid of the decimal places?

Thx

Okay, I found out that it defenitely is a problem with the Bodnar joystick controller and not with the Pro Shift. But after all I think you can use the Pro Shift's ground pins for other joystick controllers. Don't know why the Bodnar controller has the "stuttering" I mentioned...

Hi,

is there a possibility to use the ground pins of the Pro Shift for my Leo Bodnar controller?
I have the problem that every 10 seconds all 4 buttons wired to the Bodnar controller's button pins and at the same time to the ground pins of the Pro Shift are "pushed" for a moment by themselves so that I can't use them ingame.

It would be very usefull as you need 4 extra ground pins to use all 12 buttons from the Bodnar controller (it only has 8 ground pins).

General Discussions / Bootloader problem / Sim Screen not working
« on: December 31, 2012, 04:01:30 pm »
Hi,

I have been using the Sim Screen and the Pro Shift unit for a couple of days and it worked fine.
Now I put both in a powered USB-hub because of the short usb cables. It worked for a few hours but now my Sim Screen does not work anymore. Pto Shift still works with no problems with the USB hub. I can turn the Sim Screen on but there is not Welcome message. I even can not use the Bootloader anymore. If the screen is in programm mode the bootloader tells me that there is not screen connected so I can not do anything to get the screen to work...
I even used the screen in a normal USB port from the mainboard but nothing else is the result.

Can someone tell me what else I could do??? I hope the screen is not damaged. It seems that it works but gets no connection to bootloader or the SimDash programm and Windows tells me that there is a problem with connecting the hardware. Windows does not seem to recognize the Sim Screen.

General Discussions / wire push buttons to JC24
« on: December 19, 2012, 06:39:29 pm »
Hello everybody,

I am new to the forum.
I bought some good products from symprojects and have already connected the sim screen and the pro shift.
Now can somebody help me with connecting 12 push buttons to the jc24 controller from symprojects?
I have understood the matrix to connect in theory but how do I connect 24 wires to 10 pins from the controller? Maybe someone can post some pictures of his/her way to connect push buttons.

Here is a pic of my sterring wheel with the buttons. It's based on the Ferrari 2004 F1 steering wheel.
