Cheerz,, been away for a bit, super excited you finally made a fan controller..

https://www.amazon.com/HIGHFINE-TFC1212DE-Strong-Inverter-Cooling/dp/B01LWL2FIY/ref=pd_ybh_a_20?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YRKW1E357QKAY8DCBVSD

I wish to use a fan such as this.. MOST POWERFUL OF ALL 120mm FANS
HF TFC1212DE-PWM High Speed Cooling Fan, 120 x 120 x 38mm, Dual Ball Bearing, high quality long life cooling fan
Speed: 4800 RPM, Noise Level: 65dBA, Air Flow: 252 CFM
Rated Voltage: 12VDC, Operating Voltage Range : 7 ~ 13.2VDC. Input Current: 3.4 A (max. 3.9 A), Input Power: 40.8 Watt (max. 46.8W)
4 wires 4 pin PWM+Tac Sensor. Fan will start at low speed, then go up to full speed after 10 seconds.

So  is there a way to provide that amperage with another power supply?    Could I hook   12 v =/-     to another  feed,, and other leads  from fan to the  fan controller?     OR  would a larger amperage be able to pass through  fan controller ?    thanks for  making this unit!   And for taking time to address my questions!   Karl

Is there any more Leadway made on this Topic? I am very Intrested, and will purchase a RevBurner if Firmware is made Available to drive PC Fans to reflect Speedometer Output from my Sim's :-)

Do you really think pc fans will be noticeable?   The fans I have  shown above,  push air like a hair dryer..  at high speed.

I have been trying now for well over a year to get someone to proto this..  If it was of sufficient power capability , I know myself  and many of the sims I have worked on for friends etc.. would  buy a product like this.  IMHO  it would add a whole new dimension to the simulators customization abilities.    Fans hooked to air ducts on RL  dashes....  etc...

PLEASE    Help us Cristiano !     I'll take 3 units right off.. if they can provide 10 amps 12 volts....   Maybe lower the units to 5 amps 12 V ?  I'd have to buy 6 than!     Karl Dulle

Simdash detects it running..   nothing works for me though.. looking at DATA nothing changes..

I so much want this too.. But I need it with the capability of 2.5 amps  x  4 fans..    I dont want a little computer fan blowing a wisp of barely detectable air my way, I want my hair to blow in the wind... while I still have some...

I wish someone would pick up this project, as I too am ARDUINO impaired... by choice.. lol..

I think alot of SIMMers would be interested in a product with these capabilities.. I have been chasing guys to make one for about a year now..

David Tucker at Iracing is working on it..    Might be just because SYMPROJECTS   looks for the IRACING.EXE file to be initialized..  The 64 bit file has another name..   So according to David he is looking into it from Iracings side of the fence!  Yeay!!

 ;D ;D
Cristiano!

Excellent update!   Install flawless...    After just a few minutes testing each here's what I found!

  Iracing all good
SimRaceway   ALL GOOD!

Rfactor 2   no cautions worked for me..

I so cant wait to see   PCARS  on an future update... Such an excellent sim , when I show friends.. your stuff is dead... I hate that!
Heres a post over at WMD yesterday!

  3rd party data acquisition...
I have nothing but accolades for this project.. Except this...
When I want to "show off my awesome simulator" with the best looking SIM... PCARS,, my dash gauges do not work, and well.. that makes, either my simulator look bad or PCARS look bad...
These products need plugins developed by the manufacturers... As an example my Tachometer is controlled by a board from Symprojects.. The honcho' there works hard to keep plugins up to date, but it takes him months... I know it really must be a common thing with alot of other racers.. Sim Racers have some really interesting rigs.. BUT I want to do whatever I can to promote this data being available ASAP so product developer can get started!
Karl

Keep up the good work!                                                                   Karl

Any news on this Cristiano?

What I have is a firmware for the rev burner that drives the fan.
you will need a couple of extra components (a transistor and a diode) to put between the rev burner and the fan.
I can help selecting the components and connecting everything together.

the rev burner with this new firmware is seen by simdash as the rev burner that drives the speedometer. so if you are already using a speedometer you can't connect the fan.

but if you are only using the rev counter, then you can use a second rev burner for the fan.

are you still interested?

regards
Cristiano

It is a definate project for me... But I'm guessing what you have would not be sufficient in that I need it to have available ,and control, 10 amps of  12 v power..  Am I correct  in that?

Excellent !   My fan is variable speed.. 12 volts 2.1 amps high side..   critical thing is voltage variability.. I guess..   I do have 1 rev-burner.. so I am in great shape..  The unit would need to max out at like 10 amps ..  I have the 12 volt AUX power to feed the controller..

Hey have a great time!  I hope you mis-typed the JULY return.. If not, you are certainly enjoying a long holiday!  I  look forward to hearing from you on your return!      Karl

This is the fan I would like to use..  2.1 amp draw at 12 volts.. Moves alot of air, somewhat noisy, but headphones or insane volume fixes that!   I payed 8.95 US for these and picked up 4..     Called  TRACKER TURBO fan  Model 023-550

  Greetings Cristiano ,,

I have a set of four fans, 12 volt variable speed with a 2.1 amp draw..   I am seeking a controller to output variable voltage to fans based on simulator output of MPH..  I race open wheel and want a breeze!  I have seen alot of interest around the different forums for such a device..  Maybe some interested will pipe in her to confirm interest.. I know x sim has a plugin, but it does not interest me to do the whole x-sim thing.. In the interest of simplicity I wonder if you have considered such a project?
