DLC-247 Question
« on: June 21, 2014, 05:05:04 am »
Can you run 2 of the DlC-247 boards at the same time? I have 1 dlc-247 board running in another application on my computer for the timing stack made by Sim Racing Hardware. I want to run another DLC-247 board to just activate the green, red and yellow flag lights. I want to use this board for the hook up of my light project only. Can this be done or not?

Thanks

Cristiano

On the DLC is there a way to trigger a red flag when pit road is closed? I would like to hook up a red light on my rig and have it triggered when pit road is closed.

Do you have a wiring schematic for what pins on the DLC-247 need to be used for what flag that is being thrown in iRacing?

Hello.
I hope I understood the question correctly.
LEDs can be connected to any pins of the DLC-247 controller. there is no specific position.

In SimDash, in the DLC-247 configuration screen, then you indicate to which pin the LED is connected to.

this page has more information on how to connect pins and LEDs to the controller:

http://www.symprojects.com/dlc-247-configuration/

but feel free to ask any question here, if you have doubts.

Since I am going to use 2 dlc-247 controllers on my computer, will i have to use the same pins that were used for the flags on another instrument? I am running the timing stack by sim racing hardware and it has a small green, amber and blue flag in there running.

Can I run 2 separate sim dash's to control 2 seperate dlc-247s or do I just use the same pins to activate my new light system?

Also which pin on the dlc-247 is the ground?

Thanks,
Shane

Hello.
sorry but I am not sure I understood the question well.

the 2 DLC-247 controller are independent and you can configure them in different ways.
you only run 1 instance of SimDash and when you go to the DLC-247 configuration section, you will see 2 configuration screens, one for each controller.

Not sure about the question regarding the ground either, sorry

Cristiano
