Some help before ordering

I am very interested in buying a couple of products from you, but you have to take into account I have little to none electrical or circuit knowledgement, so please excuse me if my questions are basic. I have been reading all the info on every product you sell and I think it must not be that hard to install, but anyway I'll like to ask a couple questions before I venture into the project. I race rfactor, GTR2 and GTR Evo con PC.
1. I live in a country where the electricity is 110 volts, will the rev burner work here with the plug you sell?
2. I want to install the rev burner and the GI max together, but I only have only USB port left in my machine, is it possible to hook them up together and use them in one USB port? If so, could you help me to do it?
3. For the games to send the info to the rev burner and the GI max, are there plugins for each game to be installed in the respective folders? or is it only the Simdash software all that is needed.
4. How long will the order take to be shipped to South America? can the shipment be tracked?

You will need to buy a seperate usb hub by the sounds of it buddy...A powered usb hub would be best.

Simdash does most of the work for you but some games do need a file editing but it is very very simple.

The power supplies I have available only work with 220V, so you have to buy one yourself. I may help you to choose the correct one if you want.

As nescafe37 says you can use a USB hub if you only one USB port left.
SimDash already has the plugins for all the supported games. Some games require some additional configuration step but everything is very easy. Here for more details:

Delivery to South America usually takes around 2 weeks. Orders are shipped using Royal Mail, which is the postal service in the UK. Tracking works in some countries and doesn't in others. For example I know the parcel can be tracked when shipped to Brazil.

If you want it is possible to upgrade your shipment and use DHL instead of Royal MAil. the extra cost should be around £25 and you should expect to pay custom fees at delivery.

Hi, I ordered and got everything perfect. Just have one question about the power source for the rev burner. I have a power adapter with the following specs: output 15 volts and 9A max, will it work with the rev burner? Thanks!

yes it will work.
Are you sure it is 9A? it must be quite a big power supply.

I would check the polarity of the power supply connector. The central terminal should be the positive. usually on the top of the power supply there is a picture like this:

The Rev Burner supports adapters supplying 12 to 15 Volts, and 500 Milliamps(Half an amp) and up.

9 Amps for the Rev Burner is most likely much more then you need to make it work, but it won't be a problem.

You should however check whether the output is regulated. That is to say it supplies 15 Volts exactly.

Most "Wall Wart" adapters are unregulated and supply more than the label indicates. For example the 12V adapter I have outputs 18V without a load connected.

If you have a multimeter handy, you can measure the voltage by sticking one test lead up the barrel plug, and holding the other against the mantle of the plug.


In theory, the voltage regulator on the Rev Burner operates correctly even with 20 Volts. However as the official website states a 15 Volt maximum, I cannot guaranty proper operation or even valid warranty should you choose to supply more.

Cristiano can give you the official version. I can only use the data supplied on the website, and in the datasheet for the regulator.

The voltage regulator accepts much more than 15V.
The website puts the 15V limit because if you use a high input voltage the heat sink can get very hot if the rev counter requires high current.

Sorry I can't write in French.

The only thing you has to do is to connect the SPI-D display to the computer, suing a mini usb cable.

Then you have to download SimDash and installed it. Based on the simulator you play there may be some extra configuration steps to configure SimDash or the simulator.

The second SPI-D display must be connected in the same way you connected the first one. Just plug in the USB cable.

The SPI-D configuration screen in SimDash will display to pages, one for each display.

hi all
im new to this forum and also new to this concept of making up a cockpit for my racing simulators
My main racing games are Toca race driver 3, GT 5, and Dirt 2.  GT5 is on the PS3, so im not sure if what i want to do will work on the PS3. But im hoping it will at least on the PC.
What i wanted to know is, Can i hook up a speedo and tacho to the rev burner together, or will i have to have 2 rev burners, 1 for tacho and 1 for speedo? 
Will the power supply in my PC be suffiecent to run the rev burner? Or will i need a seperate power supply? Power suplly is a Ritmo 860 gaming power supply. 230v, 10A/6A, 60/50hz.
If i need a seperate power supply, could you send me a link with one that i would need please? And simple instructions on how to install it all without blowing up my pc lol. im not that tech minded, but with easy to follow instructions, i know i can do it
And, is it possible to run this on these games i have listed that i play? I hope so, cause the Toca race driver 3 has the V8 supercars in it
Im also thinking of oil/water/turbo/fuel/temp gauges Im thinking of using the sim screen for this.
 But i also like the seperate gauges set up. If i chose this method, what would i need and is it easy to do?
Is it possible to transfer from PC to PS3 and vice versa? Or am i better off getting GT5 on PC?
Sorry for the many questions, hope someone can help make it easier for me tho
