Toggle switch specs for JC32 Joystick Controller
« on: October 09, 2013, 07:38:38 pm »
Hi all,

Just purchased a JC32 Joystick Controller along with some rotary switches and push button switches (thanks for speedy delivery btw  ;) ) and I would like to add some toggle switches which leads me on to my question.......

what volt / amp specs should the toggles be ? I know I need spst on/off but there are so many different volt amp types I am a bit lost  ::)

Thanks in advance,

Nick.

hi.
there is virtually no current flowing through the switch that any switch will work fine.

you can double check here what you will decide to buy, and I will confirm that it will work.

Cristiano

I think it will work but I am not sure about the LED.

the LED works at 12V but the JC32 only has 5V

I managed to nip into town and grab some, I have them installed and although the LED's are lighting up when the switch is toggled to "ON" but the switch itself is not registering ?
I have them wired correctly and also the correct switch numbers are assigned in the "Toggle switch" configuration menu and I am also using the debug option but cant seem to get the switch itself to work ?

are you sure they are wired correctly. do they come with any documentation?

can you describe the pins and how they are connected?

Probably that + and - is for the Led no?  try use instead the - and acc. Because this switch have the common ground ( for the switch and the led). But it's hard to say because i dont know that for sure. (My switch works this way i told you)

Hi,

I tried your suggestion but still no luck, with your configuration the LED stays on constant, with the way I had it in the diagram the LED only comes on when the switch is toggled to ON  ???

Well in my haste to get these toggles working I have some how manage to fry one side of my controller  >:(    (If I plug a switch into said side I get nothing, if I plug that same switch into the other side it works)

Cristiano do you offer some kind of repair service or do I need to buy a new one ?
