SimDash Fatal Error
« on: December 04, 2013, 07:07:15 pm »
Hi Cristiano, I keep getting fatal errors, here is one of the logs:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at eval_qb.eval_bb()
   at eval_dd.eval_l()
   at eval_dd.eval_o(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

I have tried to reinstall etc but no luck, and deleted all files and folders.

Hello.

The second error should be now fixed, if you re-download SimDash from the website.

I am investigating the first one.
do you get it every time? which simulator were you playing?

thanks
Cristiano

The top two errors were from pCars and I just got this one from Assetto Corsa...... Oh btw, my gear display is not working in either ?

that looks like the error message you posted in your second post.

it should be fixed now but you need to download SimDash 3 from the website again

yup, installed latest from website I just get this error now....

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at eval_qe.eval_bb()
   at eval_df.eval_l()
   at eval_df.eval_o(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
------------------

The gear indicator now works but is barely visable at all, i have the brightness turned up to 90% but it is very weak indeed.

Downloaded and installed latest simdash (updated 02/12/2013 ) But still get this error........

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at eval_qf.eval_bb()
   at eval_df.eval_l()
   at eval_df.eval_o(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

Gear display is barely visible, is this related ??

I have updated SimDash again.

sorry if this takes forever but I can't reproduce the problem so I have to guess what the problem is.

Regards

No apologies needed Cristiano, I very much appreciate your on going support ;)

Good News !!

No fatal errors, Gear display is working and a little brighter but still very dim compared to what it used to be.

I made a small change to the DLC-247, to support gear positions greater than 9.
Maybe that's the reason the gear is displayed dimmer now.

I think you could try to open the DLC-247 settings and make a small adjustment to the brightness of the display. then save the settings. that could fix it.

if it doesn't work, please export your settings (menu File->Export Settings...) and send them to me.

thank you
Cristiano
