I have the same worries from time to time. In fact, it is green and turns orange and starts instead of "Connected" "firmware update".

in fact, it's a bad contact of the USB port. The pin is either poorly soldered, or the USB cable is malfunctioning

I suggest to try a different USB cable but if the problem is with the connector solder on the pcb, you can send me an email (contact@symprojects.com) and we sort this out.
