Has anyone tried one of these tachs with the Revburner?
Been drooling over them for sometime now, but the $400 price tag kept me away.
Found them on ebay for $209:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Spek-5-inch-Tachometer-8k-11k-White-Black-Silver-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem230e15a393QQitemZ150560154515QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
At that price I may pick one up in a few months.
On page 20 & 21 of the manual
http://www.propartsllc.com/pdfs/5_Inch_Tach.pdf
Looks like it hooks up the same. Just confused about what it's saying with the white wire.
"9 CONNECT THE WHITE WIRE TO THE DIMMER VOLTAGE GOING TO THE DASH LIGHTS. THIS WILL
CAUSE THE METER BRIGHTNESS TO TRACK THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE REST OF THE INDICATORS.
THIS CIRCUIT MUST PRODUCE 3 TO 12VDC BEFORE THE PULSES PER REVOLUTION (PPR) CAN BE
PROGRAMMED. DO NOT INSTALL THE WHITE/DIMMER WIRE IF PROGRAMMING PIT ROAD APPLICATION."
Would that connect into the Revburner with the Red wire? Wondering also if the green, yellow, & red lights would work properly for pit road speed.
Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello.
My understanding is the white wire connect to 12V, with the red wire.
I went through the pdf it seems this tacho should work fine with the rev burner.
I think if you drop an email to the company and explain what the rev burner is, they will be able to tell you quickly if their tacho will work or not.
Cheers

Update: The Spek gauge works great with the Rev Burner. Still need some fine tuning, but all is well so far!
