2-6 digit displays on 1 DLC247 splitter?

Can that be done? I tried it and both displays light up, so i just assumed splitters are not for displays.

Hello.
Each connector on the DLC-247 can take up to 8 7-segment displays (the DLC-247 can work with 24 7-segments displays in total and has 3 connector).

so you can't connect 2 independent 6-digit displays to the same connector. if you do, they will show the same values.
