Pro shift and DLC247 being shown as COM Ports.
« on: May 08, 2016, 04:45:16 pm »
Anyone have this issue? I tried to update my USB controller driver but still the same. It used to work fine before an OS upgrade/downgrade.

Thanks, Darren

Hello.
sometimes Windows assign the wrong driver to the Pro-Shift or to the DLC-247 controller.
you can easily fix the problem with few clicks.

Follow this instructions:

  • Open device manager in Windows:  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/open-device-manager#1TC=windows-7
  • right click the "USB Serial Port (COM1)" device and choose Properties. COM1 could be COM2...or another number
  • open the Driver tab, click "Update driver",
  • click "browse my computer for driver software"
  • click "Let me pick from a list of devices on my computer"
  • and  then choose: "USB Input Device"

this should work, but if you need any help send me an email to contact@symprojects.com
