Tach will not work with revburner 12v 1a supply

Hello all I'm having trouble with the us power supply ordered with my revburner.. its not strong enough to power my autometer shiftlight tach the problem is when I push the button to set the shift point it pulls to much power to operate this feature..the tach works if I use car battery..has anybody had this problem..is 1 amp supply the max for the revburner..thanks

Ok I think I know why.. the bulb in the shift light is 21w and draws around 2 amps when activated guess I will look for a led replacement..still might want to step up the amps if someone knows whats safe...Thanks

Yes, it's the shift light which draws a lot of current.
As you say you can get a LED replacement or upgrade the power supply which a bigger one. I would try with a 12V 2A power supply for a start.

I get the 12V from the PC power supply, I connect to one of the plugs that usually connect to the hard drive.

Anyway on Ebay you should be able to find different type of 12V power supply.
Double check the polarity is right when you connect it to the rev burner (don't sawp 12v with ground). you can check here if you are not sure.
