F1 2010 / 2011 cant save changes to config

Hi all,
Using notepad, I'v edited the files in both F1 2010 and F1 2011 which are needed to enable my revburner etc to work , but it will not let me save the changes made i get the message "access denied" when i click close and save, operating system Windows 7 home premium.
GTR2 works fine.
Any help appreciated.

Right click the file you're trying to edit, click properties and uncheck Read-only.

Thanks Mortos, I have sorted it now, I was trying to edit the game files and not the document files. Once I had opened the files in documents I was allowed to edit and save.  F1 2011 now up and running.
