Simulador Turismo Carretera V3
« on: November 19, 2012, 10:43:52 pm »
Hello!
I have owned the rev burner, the GI max and the SpiD for over a year now and they work great in every game i've tried. I play rFactor, GTR2, GTR Evo, and mostly Simulador Turismo Carretera.
A month ago the company that made Simulador Turismo Carretera launched a new version named "Simulador Turismo Carretera V3" but the plugins for Symprojects products dont install, it says "selected folder is not correct". I am trying to configure it the same way I did with the old version.
Are you planning on an update so symproject products will work on the new Simulador Turismo Carretera version?
Thankyou!

Cristiano

Hello.
I would be happy to upgrade SimDash to support the new version of the simulator.

When you copied the file manually, did SimDash work with the new simulator.

If it didn't, does SimDash detected that the game is running? it should display the icon of the game.

thank you

Hello Cristiano
Thanks for your answer.
I tried manually copying the symproject file into the plugins folder, but the hardware did not work.
Also when I start the game, Simdash does not recognize anything, no icon is displayed.
The wierd thing is that the folder structure of the new version is the same as the old one, I dont see any big differences with the old one.
Thanks for any guidance.
Christian

SimDash detectes that the game is running checking the list of running processes.
If the executable file of the new version has a new name, SimDash doesn't detect it.
Probably if you rename the file with the old name, SImDash will detect it.

That was the problem! they changed the name of the executable file. All I had to do was rename it and voila!! everything works!!
Best regards, Merry Christmas in advance and happy racing!

Hello
The original name was "juego"
I hope this helps for your future development of the software.
Best regards,

Hi falcon,
what is simulador TC like? Would you recommend it?
Is it based on the rFactor engine?
(Always on the look out for another good sim!)

Thanks :)
Keith

Hello Keith,
I think Simulador TC is good because it simulates very well all the competitions in Argentina, specially it covers many of the aspects of each car competition. For example, they have several "series" before the final race that give points and besides the qualifying, determine the grid for the final race. The cars are fun to drive, and yes the game is based on rFactor. There are many leagues for this game where you can find many good people racing. If you need any further help just message me.
Happy New Year!!
