GI-max & SLI-M in F1 2012?
« on: December 09, 2012, 08:14:37 am »
Hi
I've been using GI-max and Leo's SLI-M.
They work great together in most sims but not in F1 2012.
I mean, each device works alone, but not together.

After googling, I found that the cody games export data through only one port, so I've tried codemasters outgauge proxy server - CMPS. But it doesn't recognize even F1 game's running, shows 'waiting for comemasters game' message forever. Of course every ports were modified as the manual said - F1 exports data through port 33334, and CMPS get the data and exports them through port 20777 to Simdash, 40555 to SLI manager. That config looks very logical to me, but both of them don't work.

Sorry, I should ask EKsimracing about CMPS, but couldn't access the forum. I'm just curious that there is anyone who runs them together in F1 2012. Or is there another way(maybe another proxy server software) to run them together in cody games?

thanks

Softwares : Win7 x64, F1 2012 in steam, latest SLIMAX manager x64, Simdash, CMPS x64(included in SLIMAX manager).
Hardwares : Fanatec CSW + CSP with latest firmwares and driver, no fanaled.

Hello.
You are doing correctly I was going to suggest to do the same things.
Unfortunately I don't know why CMPS doesn't detect the game.
I guess the detection of the game is based on the name of the executable. When CMPS find the expected process name in the list of the running processes, it activates.

Have changed the name of the F1 2012 executable? maybe for installing a mod or something?

Thanks for your comment Cristiano.

My F1 game is just steam original. I didn't modify or rename anything.
Could 'steam version' cause this problem? Mystery.

So I'm looking for someone who actually runs two(or more) different devices successfully.
