JC32 Joystick Controller
« on: February 03, 2013, 05:22:29 pm »
Hi Christiano! Hello Readers! I've receive couple days ago my "JC32 Joystick Controller", working great as usual with Symproject products.
I would like to add personel comments and suggestions about it.

1-Larger hole for attachement and more space for head bolt (Larger & longer circuit board)
2-32 independant ground (-) connectors onboard. (Competition as it), (or an add-on circuit for the ground connections.)
3-The text of the advertisement may seem to leave this impression. (my own impression)

Since it so easy to get use to the clip 32 (+) connectors, why i would i go with the DIY of a ground (-) connectors plate or block ?. On a personal note, i always prefer simple things. On a technical note, coming for the motorcycle drag racing world (Harley's). I've always connected everything independently.

Please see this as a positive comment.

“UNDERSTEER” is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
“OVERSTEER” is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
“HORSEPOWER” is how fast you hit the fence.
“TORQUE” is how far you take the fence with you.

Thank you for the suggestions.

The ground is shared because I wanted to keep the controller small, otherwise the dimensions would be double.
But I will try to find a better solution.

I agree that the mounting holes should be bigger.

Hi Cristiano, Hi Ramok! This what i did, there's probably other ways, but i feel this one is secure enough for now. I have weld all the (-) to a smaller one to fit the board connector and i have use shrink tube of different lengh and size to get the transition from the pack of wires to the single one. Doing so prevent the pack to push or force the single wire at the end.

Basically this picture:

http://www.symprojects.com/wp-content/uploads/JC24JoystickController_90EE/matrixJC24.jpg

says everything.

Each button is connected to a COLUMN pin and aROW pin.
For example button 1 is connected to COLUMN 1(which is pin 1 on the PCB) and ROW 1 (pin 5 on the PCB) and so on for  the other pictures.

Hi Cristiano! Can you by using the picture of the JC 24, make the electrical diagram of it? I think i would be really helpfull for a lot of people. Same as we do with tach and instrument dash.

Thanks  8)
