Pro Race Buttons

Pressing a button that is assigned to gear up on my pro-race results in the gears going up twice i.e from 1 it will goto 3 and 3 to 5. Is this normal behaviour? as i was thinking of wiring in a frex style sequential shifter straight onto the pro-race button adapter using micro switches.

Or would i need to purchase somthing like a JC24 Joystick Controller to achive this?

I think if you use the config software, in the buttons tab you can change (raise) the polling interval of the buttons, so that it does not read the button presses as often. Try different settings there and see if it cures the problem
